- GDD: GDD seems good. Add some images to give some context for the game mechanics, so it makes sense for the readers. I would recommend to add the development timeline as it showcases transparency of the game's state and progress. Otherwise use some more colors into the GDD. Make it fun to read. A GDD is like an elevator pitch. It has to be short but stand out in the field to make it interesting. The length of GDD is fine, but put some images and colors to highlights the game's features. Game: Good with the main menu. Perhaps add some options settings for volume control and gameplay settings? The movement feels good, shooting the enemies is fun (I like the dismemberment system. Must have taken a lot of time), but I think small tutorial on each mechanics (eating from enemies and weapon changes and etc) would improved the experience a little better. The popup game over is unique. Rather using game window to display game over, you have used browser's alert function which wouldnt work well if the user has disabled the notification. (depends on the browser ofc) The UI could need some updates, so it is more space out and communicated clearly to the player of what is going on. The game feels like it is good for gamepad.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes.
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes.
Summarise your game!
You're a robot with one purpose. Kill and consume. You've been designed to rid the world of invasive, rapidly reproducing monsters. Taking damage and shooting causes your energy to drain, so you must find fuel to keep from dying. Fuel can be inorganic garbage found scattered throughout the world, or the flesh of slain enemies. If you've consumed enough inorganic fuel, you'll unlock new weapons to use against the monsters.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You're made to kill. You're one with the guns you use. You're life force is intertwined with the bullets you shoot. You literally are a weapon.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
I'd like ya'll to know that this was made possible by me, myself, and I. Going solo was ROUGH, and I hope to join a team in future Jams. I did enjoy the challenge though. And while I'm disappointed that I didn't have time to include everything I wanted to (as I expected), I'm super proud that I actually pulled this off. Please enjoy and don't hold back from the criticism! I present to you, my first game EVER finished, iXterminate..

Love the art style.
wish there was some music, but theres a lot of good things about this game! love how depending on where you hit the creatures different parts get blown off. nice touch. good job!
Me too my friend, me too. I had big plans for a soundtrack when this jam started, however reality set in after a few days of developing and I had to cut so much in order to push this game out by the deadline. There will be updates! Thanks for noticing the dismemberment system that I spent too long making sprites for lol. And thanks for the comment and feedback! its much appreciated!
I think you have a really good start to a game here! The art is great in my opinion and the game overall feels very nice to play. The only thing really missing is some more variety and objectives. Amazing job doing all of this by yourself!
Thanks for the feedback and the kind words! I tried really hard to fit in as much as I could within the time limit. I did prioritize gameplay over variety and had to cut a lot of content unfortunately. I am currently hard at work fixing bugs and adding more content so when the judging is over, there will be a TLC update to this game. I'm glad you enjoyed it for what it is!
With the graphics you really nailed the vibe of a retro game though I suggest you make more enemies and speed up the pacing because I did not find it particularly engaging. I really appreciate the amount of effort that you put into it and I hope you find the motivation to keep working on it as you plan to!
You're right, the enemies and the combat need some TLC. I'm currently working on some bug fixes and I'll be fine tuning combat and enemy behaviors. I've got big plans for this game! I appreciate that you took the time to give me feedback! It means a lot!
