Slime & Slash's itch.io pageJudge feedback
Judge feedback is anonymous.
- The design document is well organized and detailed. Images and diagrams have been added to help clarify ideas and intent. The idea of a creature that can morph into weapons is an interesting take on the theme. You are both literally the weapon, and not. Great take. The game itself is fun and quick. Rounds go by fast. Great game to play a time or two between other activities. It would be nice if there was a way to heal the player, either through a specific enemy drop or an occasional world spawn, just so you could push the length of the run as far as possible. Things noticed while playing: - Turning off aim with mouse also seems to disable using spacebar to trigger an attack. - I really like the Rock/Paper/Scissors take on combat. It adds an interesting, yet simple, bit of strategy to positioning the PC. - It'd be nice if there was a timer or overall xp counter so you could tell how much better or worse a run was than the last.

Cute little triangle survivor like. Guitar solo dope. Screw the boars!
Felt like I just couldn't get away in my last moments. Oh well. It's a fun little game :) cheers!
That was so smooth to play. Each weapon having an advantage over a certain type of enemy is cool. And they do area damage so satisfyingly. Controls are already great but I had a muscle memory or intuition to switch weapons using the mouse wheel. It might be better I think. Thanks for the fun!
This was surprisingly tough! I had fun experimenting with the different weapons and choreographing the enemies to kill them in groups faster! Nice work!
Wow haha the musical timing really got me into it with the hordes rushing in during a guitar solo *chef's kiss*
More than once I was frantically clicking and accidentally clicked on an upgrade popup since they appear right over the character where most enemies congregate. Might be better to move the upgrade menu or change it to not use clicks to avoid that.
The difficulty curve was one of the best one's I've seen in this jam. It was manageable at first and the first several horde waves were intimidating but doable. Great job!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the music and difficulty and ramp up felt pretty good! Thank you for the great feedback on the upgrade menu, I never ran into that issue. Shows you how everybody plays games differently! I think maybe a small delay when opening the menu and accepting mouse clicks would be pretty good there. Thanks, again!
Super fun game ! We made a similar one last week but this is so much well put together. Made it to level 26 !
The guitar is super sweet ! Only thing I would try to make the music loop better and maybe try to have multiples stages depending on the number of enemies with something like Fmod.
Good job !
Wow! Level 26 is pretty good! Thank you for the feedback, I will have to learn about Fmod. Glad you enjoyed playing!
Hey it's been 2 times that we make it too level 26 and both time the game crashed just a friendly head's up ! :)
Oh glad you liked it enough to come back and play again haha! Thank you for letting me know about the issue. We will try to figure it out!
One of the better implemented survivor-likes I've played during this jam! You did a good job on the tutorial. I'd probably tune down the enemy movement speed just a tiny bit. Really nice job overall!
Thank you for playing and leaving feedback! Tuning is always the hardest part when designing these types of games, especially in the limited time. Glad it ran smoothly and you enjoyed it!
