  • I really enjoyed the game. The artstyle and music are really nice for the game. It fits the theme since you are using yourself to make weapons. I really like the mechanics in the game and it works and fits well. It's really fun to play and works really well.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes!

Summarise your game!
SLIMEOUT is a third person shooter about absorbing objects and manipulating the environment to overcome obstacles and kill enemies. Player can stick to almost any surface, allowing to walk on walls, ceilings or morph into his projectiles (chunks of goo)

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The player character absorbs objects like barrels and inherits its shape and attributes. Thereby the slime is the weapon it just absorbed.

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
If you're up to a speedrun challenge - try and experiment with morphing mechanic! Have Fun!

Wow this game is awesome! Feels really great to play the controller is really smooth! Loved being able to leave my "slime" somewhere then do an objective then teleport/morph back into. Really enjoyed this one. Could see some crazy levels being made for this!

Cheers!

This is such an incredibly polished experience for a game jam. Easily in the top 10 of all the games I have played so far, and it really suits the theme SO WELL! The fact that the movement and combat mechanic is fun is insane! I only encountered one major bug was where you transition from wall to ceiling sometimes you could launch in a random direction. And level three I couldn't seem to find the button to open the door after the parkour lava area. But honestly one of my favorite games in terms of feel I have played so far. Amazing work!

I like how the slime moves and teleports around the map, it has some really great speedrunning potential. However, the random spawning of objects and the inability to restart the level or run quickly is a significant oversight.

btw here are my best times for each level! I enjoyed finding optimal route for each level. what a great submission!

Very cute game! I like the toon shader on the little slime and it does lend itself to speedrunning.

Wallrunning can be a bit disorienting, I would advise rotating the camera to align with the wall when you stick to it, the same way you already flip it upside down when the player is on the ceiling.

Why does this game not have more comments? This game is so cute and polished! I also got stuck in the lava, but if those type of small bugs get fixed, I could see the game sell well! Well done!

I like the gameplay! Well done.
Level 3 was really hard for me because he keeps rolling after I jump on the platforms. I had to just start using the shoot to navigate the platforms.
Also, on level 3, I shot a piece at a wall with a heavy object inside, they both fell in the lava and now the transfer kills you because it is under the lava and there is no way to remove or cancel it.
A settings menu with mouse sensitivity would be nice
