Great job! I saw your pack on opengameart too. You have some good consistency across the whole pack and the items were very clear to tell what they were supposed to be.

Yeah but I have a question why two version of the same pngs? Indexed and not indexed?

Developer (1 edit)

I thought i would be better to upload both so for accessibility ease

I don't think it have sense because it is the same png format. Most (99%) programs that can show you one will be able to show you another and png is old format so converting from one to another format is supported in 99% drawing programs. I recommended the indexed format because it just save space by using 1 byte per pixel instead of 3 or 4 for rgb or rgba. I don't think that providing only indexed version will hurt anyone, at least it is what I usually do for my packs

Developer

Makes sense. I will defo do that then. Thank you ^-^

Does some of the sprites in png format are 2x scaled?

Libresprite doesn't support some chunks of Aseprite so can't be absolutely sure but you don't use indexed color mode? https://www.aseprite.org/docs/color-mode/

If you use predefined pallet it will prevent you from accidentally creating new duplicate colors and etc. and will decrease the size of art. Png also supports indexed mode but only up to 256 colors pixelart usually doesn't use more than 32 ;)

In Libresprite it can be changed through "Sprite > Color Mode > Indexed" what is about Aseprite? Don't know but almost sure it will be in the same place

Developer

Apologies i scaled the image up to make them more visible on itch.io and forgot to export correct sized pngs. I have uploaded a new copy of the art and i think i have indexed them. Thanks :>
