A rather simple story but not going to lie it did give me the chills at points, good job.

You can move with A and D, but can only open doors with the actual up arrow, not W.

I'm not sure if it's supposed to end with you dying back in the first room, but I couldn't figure out what else to do.

Nice game, it respect the theme and it's pretty well made for a first game jam.

If it has a working webbuild anyway why don't publish it right on the site?

The title screen seems to be wider than the window.
Invisible walls on the plain spot feel strange esp when there is a normal wall a bit farther.

Story is nice.

Gameplay is confusing.
For example the girl isn't really a haunting threat no does she look like it.
It feels like there is sth to be done with her but what exactly I couldn't understand.
The sign tells not to come back until he understands his crimes but even when it becomes kinda obvious it doesn't do anything.

Also puzzling why even there was a giant wooden cross in a school in the first place let alone spawning undead folks.

Thanks for the feedback!

Tbh this game is a walking simulator more than anything - we had plans to add more dynamic gameplay elements with enemies, but as is tradition in game jams we were super tight on time.

The room should change when you go back to that room if you've been through all the other rooms - stepping halfway through the room triggers a creepier version of the room and a brief ending after seeing all the other stuff. Might be a bug though, will have to check.

The cross is there as it's a prayer room - though mainly it's just to add a creepy vibe.
