5/5 This is my favorite game so far. Super challenging but when you start understanding the controls it's sooooooo good. An announcer would be a great addition if you were to find a good one. My record of the time of writing this is 15 000. I'll definately play more of it :D Also it's made by people of the best country in the world, mennää joskus yksille ja pelataa CTR sen jälkeen

If I had to critique anything, I sometimes spin out after switching drifts and just kind of die. Not sure if it's intentional but it kills my run sometimes

Yeah, there are 2 pretty bad bugs currently.

The car can spin out, which of course is a good thing. A skilled player can most of the time feel it coming and fight against it, but it does seem to sometimes happen for no good reason.

Also, sometimes, though thankfully VERY rarely, the game just decides it's time you stopped playing and gives you a game over even though you're going fast enough. lol

Yeah I can fight against it sometimes, it just feels random, at least with this level of experience it feels random when it happens

Thanks! :)

Alkoholi + CTR on aina hyvä idea. :P

This is absolutely terrific. So difficult to maneuver but so satisfying when you do. Music and visual cues make it. Thanks for making this

Highest score is 6073 6560. This brings back memories of snaking in Mario Kart DS.

I challenge you to beat my personal best of 38000 :P

I don't think I'm capable of doing that. But I'm going to make all of my friends play this game and surely one of them will master it!

JESUS CHRIST. OK I'll TRAIN AFTER THE JAM AND CHALLENGE THAT SCORE

The word for this game is 'elegant'. All of the visuals go together perfectly to create a stunning 'just the essentials' celebration of racing games. I didn't quite get the space bar turning mechanism figured out but I love what you were going for. Perhaps in a future version there could be a 'hard right turn' and a 'hard left turn' button but 'as is' it is a great take on the theme.

Developer

The spacebar mechanic is intentionally simple. We were going for a sort of arcade-y feel for the controls. Though I would agree that at the very least deciding the direction of the first jump really should be up to the player and it's currently not. That mechanic takes inspiration quite heavily from Crash Team Racing where you would almost constantly be drifting as that helps you gain speed. Well in this game you can do nothing, BUT drfit and that's the point.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback. :)

Controls are really impossible to use, there is no way to figure out what angle you are going at. Also the music gave me a heart attack lol.

Developer(+1)

Just use the gas sparingly and fight against the drift by turning.

It takes a little getting used to.

I can usually go for quite a while before dropping. Though I guess I have an advantage having made the damn thing lol.

Thanks for the feedback. If we update the game we'll look into making it easier to control. ;)

cool idea! Nice drifting with music!
