Very good take on the "echoes" theme.
This game brings in a very interesting mechanic with the echolocation and I think it's a great concept overall with some good execution. The sound design is also great and really added to the experience.
I have to agree with other reviewers here that the submarine is very unwieldy to control, which I think is fine as a concept but it's just a little too difficult to manage, maybe just slightly increasing turn speed or something to that effect will give it that edge to make it feel right.
I never got anywhere near the 10 treasures goal so I would also recommend making that number quite a bit lower.
Great work overall!
The sound design was really good! It set the mood! The sonar was maybe a bit slow so the navigation became a bit disorientating. I also didn't understand that the "Dive" text on the menu was a button, since the font was the same as the title. So I thought it was a "subtitle" ;) But I managed to figure it out in the end.
It's really hard to control the submarine or to see in what direction you are heading, but the sound design is really good !
Yay another submarine game, it was kind of hard to feel where / how fast you are going, maybe making some static dots or something so the player can feel how to move, most of the time i felt like i was just guessing where i was going. I couldnt tell if i was going forward despite pressing W. The squids were damn scary, managed to kill one and get two chests before i completely spun out. Also be careful using left control in browser games, i accidently closed the window twice haha. Nice submission :)
It felt a little difficult to control. Using WASD to move, as well as Q/E to rotate, felt awkward to do with one hand. I like the aesthetics of the game, though! I managed to get three treasure chests before getting murked by a squid :)
