It's a nice little timewaster, but the movement definitely took some getting used to. Also the difficulty seems to spike pretty dramatically at some point, going from a very relaxed pace, to a more high speed dodging game.

While it was fun on the higher difficulty, I felt like the only reason I was losing was because of the limitations on my controls. Not so much my lack of ability to dodge incoming blocks. I understand that you might feel the game becoming too easy if you remove the delay, but I'd suggest finding other ways of increasing difficulty rather than adding a movement delay. In games like these, having a character that feels good to control is key to making the game feel fun and in this case, the delay is actively detracting from that in my opinion.

Other than that there's not much too say, the game is nice and simple, easy to understand and the music is a good backdrop for it.

The thing with the movement is that if make the player move freely you could easily dodge every obstacle  because there is enough space in between them.

The cooldown was even higher in the first version. I already tried to make it as low as possible without some weird bugs like moving 2 fields at once.

I will try to find some way to make it better.

But thanks for playing and taking time to write such a long comment

Just checked out your game.

The Windows version got stuck for me before it would show the credits (just played the music and displayed the background). The web build worked just fine, and I played it (apparently it's up to date).

It's a nice little time killer but gets a bit repetitive over time.

Haven't played the previous version but I think the movement needs a bit more work. I didn't like the pause after moving one step, it's a bit frustrating. Perhaps you could check if a key was pressed while the animation is playing and set a flag so that the character moves right after the current animation cycle finishes. If it's meant to be this way, I think you could animate it a bit more so it feels like something going on rather than just a pause. Just a suggestion though.

The spawning system seems to make sense, it allowed me to maneuver and felt fair. I liked the music too, nice and calm.

I playtested all of my versions and every windows version was playeble for me.

Also the newest browser and the newest windows version are the same except for one bool that tells the game if is for winodws or webgl.

I had to limit the movement because if i made the player move freely than you could easily dodge every falling guy because there is enough space in between them. But i made the cooldown pretty small so if you press the keys fast enough you wont notice how slow it is.

But thanks for playing it and the long comment :)

this was fun. Don't really know how much you can expand on this idea but it's a nice little time waster
