Hello, I enjoyed playing but I didnt get really far. In Dead City, I couldn't survive more than a couple of minutes^^

The zombies instantly charging you in a straight line when they spawn felt too punishing and not very fun : I basically spent the whole time running around like a headless chicken and shooting when I could. But maybe that's the vibe you're going for^^

That being said, I wished they had some kind of idle or wandering state where they still haven't spotted you and you can take your time to aim at them properly.

Also maybe they could stumble on obstacles or at least slow down when they suddenly change direction ?

Like others have mentionned, I would also prefer to have an actual crosshair to aim better. I understand that it's a choice not to have one though. Maybe a slighly bigger hitbox on the bullets to better hit the zombies then ?

Another small nitpick I would have is about the jump. It feels too fast and low. I felt like you should reach a bit higher and stay in the air a bit longer.

Finally, since you asked about how the shooting feels, it's mostly fine but here's a few suggestions :

- You could add a small amount of screenshake (depending on the type of gun) when firing.

- The impact of a bullet on a zombie could be improved, with a more noticeable hit animation and maybe a little more blood ? Also, depending on the gun, they could slow down when hit or maybe even fall to the floor for a second ?

Nice job overall, the game has a decent amount of polish and I like the atmosphere :)

I really enjoyed this. I don't play many FPS with mouse and keyboard, but I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Thoughts as someone who's bad at this genre:

  • I'd love a crosshair
  • The knife seems OP compared to the gun - maybe turn up gun damage?
  • I didn't understand the enemies were going to spawn after a while, so I kept running around the city getting confused and then ambushed

dude, i just tried it out and the view-port seems to be sized too large for my screen (looks zoomed into the center of the screen while cutting off a good portion of the edges), i guessed which button brought up the settings and quit, but i couldn't find a way to change the window size,

*running on p.o.s. laptop with touchpad

-not sure if i was misinterpretting it but when the character leans i noticed the bullet still landed at roughly the same spot, i'd almost expect it to land a little to the left or right depending on the lean but it might just be for visual reference.

-the look down sights worked at first but suddenly stopped working for me, like the animation would start to play and then just default to the original, i expect this had something to do with using a touchpad instead of mouse.

-could use a reticle but it might be the asthetic choice to go without,

-theirs something that feels off about the motion, might just be me needing to mess with the settings but you know how first impressions are super important for retention

i'll mess around a bit more and give more feedback but i figured the intitial reactions are just as important as the wrap up thoughts.
