I really like the visuals. The art style is neat. And levels are really well designed considering just a week. I ran into bugs. The more I played the more it stuttered and frames would drop. Plus, if you just force yourself against the gate for a period of time, you clip through it.
thanks! yeah, there are many glitches and bugs. There just wasn't enough time to polish or optimize the rendering. I am actually surprised how far we got in the end.
Damn, a full 3D platformer with only 8 colors? I love the dithering effect as well.
Only critique I have are the speech sound effects are a bit loud and get a little annoying after a while, and I also fell through the wooden door like the other commenter did. Other than that, I have no complaints. Very impressive game!
Thank you for the feeedback!! Yeah we worked a few 'all nighters' to get this to where it is. The dithering effect is thanks to Zet23t.
Most fun was the graphics and exploration, bit lack of polishment, fall through the floor when going into some wooden door. controls can also me improved, you can use SPACE when in cutscenes, so you can keep your hand on WASD.
Overall solid presentation with the title screen, color palette and characters.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep this in mind for future projects :)
Engine and polish wise - Implementing a story game let alone an entire editor, script and scene system in just 7 days is very ambitious and impressive.
Gameplay wise - The puzzles are simple and pleasant, but the most enjoyable part for me was exploring the environment. One thing I would add is a reset button, as it's very easy to get softlocked.
Overall, this is extremely well done!
Thank you!!
