I played your game live:
Hi Josh,
Neat little sandbox demo you made here with excellent potential with some work done on it to improve/add extra features.
First attempt i sucked with the keys and got myself slopped up dead stuck with the dogs unable to move. So quit out and gave it another go much better lasted for ages made it down the mountain to the lake... not that i knew it was frozen so assumed myself and dogs would drown lol! But no it was frozen over and had a good old play on it until eventually trying to explore another side of level and got caught dead on a super steep slope guessing it was there for reason edge of level or something.
Anyway very cool it gave me a whole Jack London feel of Call of the Wild/White Fang. You could of maxed out special deilvery points in your game rating if you had given it a Balto movie storyline of delivering medicine to sick girl theme if you had time to add some story screen or text. Also with time added things like bears to flee from and wolfs you could have a really good game on your hands.
To end on great atmosphere you created with very little sparseness to it, the glittering mountains were very magical and the lake. Only tiny nitpick might be the movement of the dogs being a bit tricky to control however i improved greatly on second attempt lasting much much longer.
Hopefully you get more ratings in the next few days as your game is a neat idea/engine. I think the downloadable games always suffer compared to browser games unfortunately due to perceived viruses etc...
Goodluck with your placing!
This was a fun concept, I enjoyed just riding around for a while. Maybe I didn't figure it out but I wish there was a destination to reach, as it felt like I was exploring aimlessly.
Thanks, yeah, I had some fun ideas for gameplay I'd like to add in an update after voting ends. I got time crunched.
As of now, if you can find and reach the top of the mountain and make it from there to the lake, you've won. :)
