Description
Like the original, this is electronic but this cover features more rock elements rather than purely synths.
To create this, I used Pro Tools. The tricky part of doing this cover was finding the line of honoring the original while still making enough of a difference to call it our own.
Honestly, one of my favorite parts of this cover is the last chorus. Instead of returning to a regular chorus, we changed it to a softer, emotional ballad. Not only to make our cover stand out, but it's a reflection of how the anime ends; in bittersweet tragedy.
I, DarkMaestro, am not a vocalist nor have much experience with vocals. So doing this cover really pushed me to try new things on both fronts (despite the fact my voice is pretty much hidden behind the vocoder.) But I'm pretty proud of the work me and Azræyil (the featured vocalist) put into this.

Great cover! The vocal performances were really impressive and nicely produced too, well done!
Great job! Well done on your vocals! I think one thing I would say is that the percussion sounded great in the full sections, but I think it could have been mixed to feel wider at moments where it's really present like the kick from 1:40 to 2:00 and the snare from 3:25-3:27. The rest of your mix sounds lovely and so well done!
This was very well-produced! Excellent work from both vocalists- the emotion was there and palpable. I like the choice to make the end more subdued. You should absolutely feel proud of this! Great work and thank you for sharing!
I hadn't heard this track before but I thought your cover was an interesting alternative take on the original - the gender-switched vocals worked really well! I'm sure there's some deeper meaning from the story for this or something that I have missed, but I just liked how it sounded :D
