This one was a lot of fun. I got up to wave 10, to anyone gonna play this: don't immediately spend your light points. save them as long as possible and only use them when it's time to heal the tree.
It met the theme super well, and had no bugs or anything glaringly wrong. The quick cutscene in the beginning did a lot to set the stage. Definitely get points for the effort there in my book. Particles were cool. Over all very enjoyable game.

That was a hell of a night!! ... fun game - I think the effect when they die is a bit bright though, it hurt my eyes after a while and lots of waves! GG!

I would probably just reduce the number of them a little (perhaps reduce spawn probability to make it more random) or stop them having velocity towards the camera 👍🏻
Great level design and opening animation. Also liked the light effects after giving the tree the light.

Game was fun, only noticed minor performance issues in the game, but was definitely smoother in the better performance version. Cool concept and interesting gameplay loop.

I did not have fun, this game has major performance issues which should not be happening. I have a 3060 with a Ryzen 5 5700, this game jam game should not make my computer chug the way it is. It doesn’t help that the game just really doesn’t have substance. It’s just kind of disappointing. I feel bad for ragging on it cause I’m sure I would’ve liked it more if it didn’t run so poorly.
Hey Tides, thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the game and I'm aware that it had performance issues when I had to upload it before the deadline. It's smoothly playable on my old PC with 1080Ti now after some changes. Hopefully I'll be able to upload the better performing version in the future.
