If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
I vaguely reference it.

Any additional information for voters?
If you get annoyed by the huge amount of text in the game, then hold 'Z' to skip through it faster.

Nice pixelart! Too good for this jam ^^

Also, I appreciate being able to just jump over some of the enemies.

I have to admit, this is a pretty hilarious game. I loved it from start to finish. The game starts out relatively normal, but the build as you go on is probably what really sets it apart.

The combat at first felt rather bland, but actually the punches have to be well time timed, and the kick attack is pretty fun to use. All in all, the combat feels very good when you get used to it.

The story starts out very cliche, but the ending sequence was a complete surprise. I had no idea what I was doing with the bomb, but it all worked out in the end, and I finished the game with a large grin.

To conclude, this is a great example of how to make a 'So bad it's good' game. You can tell that a lot of effort went into this, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!

Developer

Thanks for the comments, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. There's a lot of good entries in the jam, and I had a lot of fun. Thanks for hosting it!

Fun game, love the physics where I try to juggle those vase for the fun of it xD

I would make an option in the dialogue where you press enter then they will finish talking and if you press enter again they will go to their next line like in JRPGs. However with the time constraint its understandable! Good effort definitely. It's really fun!

Developer

Yeah, sorry, holding 'Z' will make the text go by faster, but there's no option to quickly skip to the end of the line. Probably should've added that, but ah well. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the physics and game, and thanks for the review.

This was great! The janky physics made it genuinely fun to run around and bash into things. The opening with the JCVD-style splits cracked me up too.

Developer

Yeah, I was trying to go for a JCVD movie-esque feel for the game, so I'm glad that came across somewhat well. Anyways, thanks for the review, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

The boss fight was too Nintendo Hard for me, but I found it to be a well-made little game overall.

Developer

Yeah, I probably should've given the boss slightly less health. Ah well, glad you enjoyed the game despite that, and thanks for your review.

It wasn't the boss himself that was the issue, but the flash mobs of 6-12 henchmen that prevented me from even getting close.

Developer

Hmm, yeah, he doesn't have a limit on the amount of henchmen he can spawn, so if you don't kill him quickly you basically just lose. The henchmen also don't disappear and come back when you die, so that's kinda dumb.

Yeah, probably should change that eventually. Anyways, sorry about that.
