Wew this game is so well presented! I loved the introductory cutscene/tutorial, and the concept is absolutely awesome! What a fun and creative way to make use of the modifier!
The sound effects fit really well, and are clearly distinctive creating a good feedback loop. The music is energising! The game is addictive, and made me want to play again!
I manage to cheer 415 lil turts before a nasty tort*oise got in the midst. It kinda feels like a game where you make your own difficulty 😅 (trying to sort through them faster and faster until you go too fast lol) But for what it is, it's a perfectly fun little game in a humorous and energetic way! Well done on submitting!
Great title, cool presentation (both visually and audi..ally? audiatory? eh, whatever) and maybe the funniest interpretation of the modifier I've seen so far. Gameplay would probably be more interesting if there was some sort of challenge, but meh, it's a so bad it's good jam. Also love the weird smirk of the tortoise after it gets encouragement.
A simple and really funny little game. I especially like the ending. Well done.
beautiful yes very
The graphics and animations stand out on this entry. The music was pretty good too.
Thank you! Graphics were all drawn and animated by me (except any stock photo stuff), bgm is from Maou Damashii's free music library!
This game is super cute, and it's one of the best uses of the modifier I've seen so far. The gameplay was really fun and satisfying, too, at least at first. Maybe this is deliberate (given that the game is satire), but without a defined end goal, without real time pressure, and without any noticeable change in difficulty, it got monotonous fast. I think it really needs something to break that up, whether that's limited time to make a decision or levels with goals or a difficulty ramp or a combination thereof. The failure condition isn't exactly clear, though once I found out what it was, it made sense in retrospect and was absolutely hilarious to watch.
Would you believe I fully intended to add time pressure, but just simply forgot? I'm just going to pretend the idea all along was that since it's your first day, you're not going to get fired for being a little bit slow :p
An online leaderboard was also scrapped, in favour of proper rest for both me and my laptop, which I swear I could smell melting last night...
Thanks for the feedback though! Looking forward to playing your entry again this year, will have time later today :)
