If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
The game is themed around escaping the tortoise (In-game) and finding a tool to eliminate the tortoise (Story)

Any additional information for voters?
The game should work for anyone with a dGPU, however many intel iGPUs won't be supported and will unfortunately return an error :( Sorry

Haha this was hilarious! Absolutely loved  the pre-rendered cutscenes! The use of some voice clips + 15ai was really creative, and made for an experience!

I also got a d3d error message (1080ti, latest drivers), but then the game just seemed to run as normal 🤷‍♀️. The maze did end up getting unplayably dark sometimes, to the point where I had no way of working out where I was facing and just had to wait to die lol.

Anywayz, this game is pretty original as far as SBIGJam games go, and I had an entreating time! Well done!

Your memes are a bit too strong for my computer 😭 (it can survive the intro cutscene, but it keeps freezing at the start of the actual gameplay scene, promptly followed by the the Unreal Crash Report Client window appearing 😔)

Ah… What is the error message? If it’s D3D device being lost, then it’s an issue with the GPU drivers (dGPU not properly connected, or intel integrated graphics need to be updated 💀)

looks like there isn’t an update for the graphics driver available from the OEM, so I guess I’ve gotta use the generic drivers instead. Hopefully my computer survives installing them 💀

EDIT: nope, the memes are still too powerful even with these up-to-date drivers.

The plot, voice acting (cutting?) and overall production was a wonderful experience. Nanomachines, son. I got lost in the dark far too often, and I tried to use the stars to help me navigate through it to no avail. So far, this is the only game I've played more than once.

Developer

Thanks! The lighting was a rather prevalent issue throughout development, because I both wanted to get a spooky dark theme yet still be able to navigate - obviously that did not work xD. I will try to spice up the lighting in future updates, using directional & sky lights to a larger extent. Thanks for playing the game!

So that was a thing.

For an SBIG game, this has insanely high production values. Unreal Engine. Fancy 3D environments. Custom character models. Deepfaked (?) dialogue. Full. Motion. Video.

This is a memetic masterpiece, but to be honest some of the memes fell flat on me. I think some people are going to find it gut-bustingly hilarious, but I've never played Metal Gear and I haven't played TF2 in the better part of a decade, so a lot of it was lost on me.

While it's got a ton of so bad it's good style and almost sails by on that alone, there is a gameplay section, and it's notably underwhelming. It's basically collecting objects in a maze with really weird lighting and horrible UI, and feels like a half-broken example project.

The whole thing sailed by super quickly. This isn't a knock against it, but given how much time and effort was clearly spent on assets, makes everything feel a bit underutilized. Ultimately, though, that's more a problem for you the creator than me the player. If it was stretched out, then it might start to drag, and that's never a good thing. Better to keep it short and sweet.

I'm still not sure what to think of this one overall, to be honest. It's a shitpost, but it's the most visually impressive shitpost I've seen in a while.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback - it probably could've done with a few additional maps and more interesting theming for each of the mazes, to make it more engaging (as I was planning initially, but ran out of time). I have nothing to say about the UI - I agree it was atrocious, and definitely needs a rework at some point. Just want to ask if the tutorial covered the game mechanics well enough? I feel I could've added a couple more lines in to make it a better introduction to the game :/

Thanks again!
