Nice and short game!
Nice, I like the idea!
I love the idea for this game the only issue is that there is nowhere near enough time to react most of the time so the game is mad difficult-
Like the game and idea, but...
274 is my full-concentration score! Man, this game as hard as brick!
Congratulations on submitting! I would have made the obstacles spawn just a tad bit farther back so you have a split second longer to react. Overall I really enjoyed playing your game though, great work!
Thanks for the kind words man, Im glad you liked it. There is still some on-going issue with speed and its running differently for everyone(probably due to hardware difference even tho all the movement in is FixedUpdate). Ill keep this mind and polish this as soon as the rating period ends.
Have you tried to use Time.deltaTime()?
i used Time.unscaledDeltatime in FixedUpdate. Nothing should be depended on framerates but still......
Amazing art, and really fun arcade game! REALLY had tho... or maybe im just bad xD Nice job!
All credits to my team, they REALLY made great assets and music.
I like the idea that you have here! Unfortunately I find the game way too difficult, having a very abrupt difficulty spike. It might help to have the game slowly ramp up in speed and frequency of the obstacles, because right now I found a lot of obstacles that were pretty VERY difficult to react to. For example, going from the third to fourth obstacle gives you very little time to react, and, if the shape that's required is two spacebar presses away, it pretty much guarantees a restart.
It doesn't seem like the player actually needs to go through the hole in the different walls for them to actually go through. This is a bit confusing for the player because, at first, it makes you think of a platformer, so it feels like you need to both control the shape to go through the middle, as well as getting the correct shape. It might feel a bit better if you change the shaped wall into some other thing, like a colored barrier, so that the player instantly knows that they just need to be a certain shape instead of having to move through a specific place in the wall.
I think that with a bit more polish and tweaking you could have a very fun game here. Keep up the good work!
I cant thank you enough bro, your early comment saved my ENTIRE game. This is my first gamejam and first webGL build also. I never it would run differently over web and we didnt have lot of time for testing. Thankfully the founder on discord let me fix it quickly. My game was doomed if you didnt comment for real.
I just played it again and it feels much better now!
Yeah, WebGL can be really finnicky, and stuff like this happens when you're on a deadline lol. God knows it's happened to me a lot!
I'm really glad you could update it! Keep up the good work, great game for a first entry to a game jam!
Thankssssssssss
Nice game! I think the idea is great
