I like the idea but im nor really sure what the mutations do. also i couldn't full screen. the arts nice though and the roomba mutations were very unique.

Love the gruesomeness of the murders i kinda forgot to add any death details to my game lol - the sword is really satisfying to use with the woosh as well -

this game is super hard lol - also u can tone down the post processing effects lol ik that they add an extra pop but like seasoning they are amazing in some amounts and overwhelming in extra amounts lol (specifically the chromatic aberration)

other than those tho the game is good :)

i like how it controls and the graphics give very monty python vibes although i didnt realize at first that you could accelerate by tapping up lol

this game has a pretty good idea the only thing is like another commenter said it would be better to use a mouse for aiming rather than arrow keys because its really hard to aim with arrow keys lol

i like this game a lot and its very visually appealing the only gameplay problem is sometimes i swear id die to nothing-

got to a score of 140 before that glitch took me lol

Eugenics: The Game!

honestly tho great take on the theme done very well just think that the game needed some sounds lol

love the art design but im kinda confused about gameplay. also sfx wouldve greatly improved the experience

Super Addictive lol - I dont know how some developers can make the simple yet addictiveness work but this 100% did it.

I love the idea for this game the only issue is that there is nowhere near enough time to react most of the time so the game is mad difficult-

cool that its a game for a gameboy but im not sure how its uses the mutation theme? its also really hard to control a game boy with a mouse lol. nice game tho

i really like the game the only things i would change is increasing player movement speed (though i think thats more of a me thing since a lot of people recommend on my games to decrease the movement speed loi) and to make enemies stand out more with the background since its kinda hard to see them right now. also add more feedback to the weapon with sfx and screenshake though im one to talk about screenshake having also leaving it out of my game lol. anyways good game :P

i like the idea and retro aesthetic but the game just gets too hard to control the character when you mutate so i never got above like 1031 i think. regardless its still really good game

nice and clean art style fitting in with the simplistic sound design and gameplay, i really like this game.

love the look of the game! the only things are that the delay between shootings is a bit slow which can be annoying at times and that when you get hit by enemies they make the collection noise which made me think for a bit that hitting the birds killed them too cause im a lil stupid sometimes. regardless though its done really well and the theme change gave a shock to a lot of people who werent checking the discord frequently.

i like how its a more think-y game rather than the more common reaction games in this game jam!

love the game. gameplay is nice and snappy. the only thing i would change is to increase movement speed but i think thats just a me thing cause a common problem with my game jam games is making everything too fast lol.

Cool idea but a bit lacking in game play elements. SFX are good and used well to bring more depth to the game.

the game looks great but like everyone else has said it freezes when you get hit - sadly as ive experienced before having a game break on export for a game jam is always super depressing

i wish you the most amount of luck that you'll fix the issue for the jam you participate in

yeah playing it more i relize that reload for every weapon could've been halved, but thanks I actually made all of the art myself and seeing just how far ive come in terms of pixel art really makes me proud of myself.

yeah, i really shouldve added camera shake to the game, its one of those things where i always forget just how much a bit of camera shake adds to game feel, and yeah the mutations where not clear but i felt like adding menus to explain each one would've gotten overwhelming so all you really get are names in the description

thanks for the feedback

thank you so much

thats really fair advice, the enemies are definitely to fast, and this is after i already slowed them down by 20% after the person i had play test said that they were too fast. I also forgot that making guns realistic means that which ever one shoots the fastest is generally the best one so like whoops. i was originally planning on having enemies with differnent amounts of health which wouldve made it more balanced but i forgot lol.

probably couldve made the shotgun shoot more bullets lol and thx for the feedback

yeah, since i switched to godot i lost alot of the game feel elements i had created when i was using unity and because of the fact i used to be able to just copy and past the, camera shake for example, into the game i kinda forgot how important those things were for game feel i should probably make the template scripts for those in godot so i can use them a lot easier during game jams but thanks for the feedback :)

thanks

the weapon rooms decrease as you go further down in floors, the first floor is almost all weapon floors but by floor 5 weapon rooms can no longer appear but yeah probably should've made them appear less to begin with lol :)

thanks this was the first time i made music for a game jam during the jam and im really happy with how it came out. I never really know how to implement AI lol but i probablly couldve at least done  raycast to see if there was something in the way

also no the leaderboard isnt online lol i was trying to decide the entire time if i should implement lootlocker and decided against it cause it seemed confusing for godot lol

thanks

and yeah i realized after implementing them that they mutations were often not identifiable when using them - i probably should've made them visible and less ones like increase move speed or slow enemies the room.

I like everything that was done the only thing that i think its missing though is that everything feels like it moves super slowly. This exact same game with nothing changed except with everything moving 50% faster would've been super addicting. The graphics are beautiful, movement super smooth, audio super pleasant, the only thing is that everything should've been faster. Although I do feel like that was what was intended with the description saying that it was "fast paced" so it might be a weird export problem or a problem on my computer but whatever the reason that's the only thing that's missing. Everything else is absolutely fabulous.

Best Time: 11.44

Its sad that this game only has one level that can be played cause it really has a lot of potential. The mechanics are super simple which makes it easy to learn which is really good especially in a game jam context. The player has a lot of feel in their jumps. The game looks clean despite only using boxes. The only thing that I would say is that some sound effects would really breath this game to life. After the jam though you should update the game fixing whatever the bug was that kept future levels from loading cause honestly this is really good.

Best Score That I Got: 6410

I do think its slightly funny how many games decided to connect slimes with the theme though. Anyways I think that the game has a lot of potential I just think that you needed to make the game easier. Another thing is to that I would recommend making the deaths less jarring by having the screen lag behind the player so its not just like the screen suddenly changing. I do love the chicken sprite though. Its really good and gives very stardew valley vibes.

Really good game! I like the mechanics a lot. I would like to say though that at least for me the windows build wasn't able to run so I only had the web build with the weird graphics. The only thing that I would change mechanics wise is to make the extra move points a bit more balanced because I rarely had to worry about moving after I got the first completion. Another thing (that might be caused because i used the web build to play) is that the lack of SFX did make the game feel less immersive.

I really like this take with the mutations more a part of story rather then mechanical. The sfx are also good and the beating heart increasing as time went on made the game more immersive. The only thing that I think was unclear was what each of the abilities did. Like I figured out radiation shoots the laser and the target kills cells close to it, but I couldn't really tell what the other ones did and they kinda felt like they killed things at random.

All in all this game was done really well and was pretty fun.
