This is my first ever game jam. I am pretty new and I work alone. I want to know what is allowed and what isn't. Meaning could I use music that is from youtube if i dont know how to make one?  or is it against rules because it is copyrighted? Also could I take a reference script and change everything so that it is original code. And finally do i build and submit the build or do I submit the raw project? Thanks for your time and good luck to everyone !

I’m not involved with the administration of the game jam, but I would typically recommend not using music that isn’t explicitly free to use. Also take note that the game jam suggests or encourages you to make your own assets. If you haven’t made your own before, check out this chiptune tool: https://beepbox.co

As far as the submitted project, I would just make sure to include any instructions anyone would need on running it, or do your best to make a web version. The easier it is to play, the easier it will be to rate, I assume. Good luck with the jam!
