Really enjoyed this one and it scared me. I see that you're going to fix the fov so not much else left to be said nice one!

That was a nice game with an interesting twist. The artstyle is really cool. Considering this is made with GameMaker, you must have worked a lot to build the environment. The FOV was a little extreme, though, and it could become a bit nauseating after a while. Also, beware, as right clicking with the mouse crashes the game.

Developer

Thanks for letting me know about that bug. I fixed it and uploaded the new build.

I loved the look of this game, it really did have the retro, alien aesthetic. The scares were effective at first but I clued in pretty quickly to how the game was progressing and I was able to anticipate what would happen.

My only real issue was the "coding" of the rooms was hit and miss. I could tell what the med bay and the bridge were, but it was hard to tell what was the lab, and even when I found it, what I actually had to do there. I think there was some clever use of limited assets, but some of the actual rooms of the ship could have used a bit more design.

Fair criticisms! I definitely wanted each room to be more distinct and detailed but just ran out of time.

I really liked the way you did the environment. What did you use to build it?

Developer

Thanks! The game was put together in Game Maker. I built the models using Model Creator and made textures in GIMP. No shaders or anything fancy used.

Interesting entry for sure! I really like the overall design and the visuals. The camera's FOV felt a bit weird though. Looked like everything is really zoomed in. The voice acting was spot on tough! I also liked the creepy atmosphere. Good job!
