I love the art style! It's very surreal and gives a bit of an unsettling mood. Consider me a fan!
On the other hand though, the gameplay is a little rough. It felt like I was controlling a bumper car, just in 2D. There's some cool ideas with the platforming for sure, but it conflicts a bit with the controls.
Still, good work on the game! Hope you work on this some more after the jam!

I'm not gonna lie, I am reeeeeally bad at games like this nowadays xD All the platforming skills I gained as a kid have pretty much vanished, so I didn't manage to make it very far x3 The art in this is gorgeous though! Love the character designs, the look of the levels, the title art, it all looks very polished and pretty :3
I'm not super great at platformers, either. XD I tend to not be the best at the games I work on, but I hope they're enjoyable at the least (I have some pretty great coders ;) ). I used to be better at games it seems but maybe that was also having all the time in the world for games. XD

Practically everything I play nowadays either has no difficulty level, like VNs and other text-based games or, if it's an RPG that has a difficulty level, I stick it on the easiest one immediately xD Long gone are my childhood days where I would play stuff that was hard and persevere until the end >.< I'm a very lazy gamer now x3 Unless it comes to rhythm games, then I go into super serious mode, haha.
Oh wow, it already looks so stunning, I can't even imagine how you'd make it prettier :o I'll have to keep an eye on it then + try to get better at it! :D

Did you try to make a platformer using rigidbodies? :)
Way too floaty controls on the main character. Some Slight tweak to character handling would drastically change how this game feels
