Aww, man, my brain sucks at processing these kinds of controls x3 despite that, I still thought it was really cool! :3 I loved how you got to start out in space with a different sorta feel to the movement. It took me a little while to get the hang of it, but I thought it was pretty smart!

I saw you mentioned on the game page that it's Resident Evil style, and it certainly reminded me of that :D

It was pretty eerie wandering through those corridors. Oh, and I really appreciate the voice acting :3

I managed to get a bit stuck and it's almost 5:30am now, so I should probably just go to sleep xD Basically, I entered a room where there was a very creepy looking creature, a voice line played, but before it could finish, I got a black screen. It wasn't a crash cos the game did load me back to the beginning of the walking section. Did I die somehow? If so, how do I avoid it the next time I play? :3

Really cool game! I think the beginning section in space was a really cool idea, but was just a bit of a hurdle to get through. It's mostly the camera angles though. It was a little hard to tell where I was at sometimes since the camera obscures some parts. There were some other situations too like when I entered the room with the alien and wanted to run backwards to get out, but turns out I was already facing the door and ended up walking backward into death instead.

There were also a couple of bugs, like when running in one direction and then running backward immediately, the walking animation would just stop for a while and make the character look like he was gliding. The camera switching triggers also kinda bugged out sometimes, where it wouldn't switch at all and I'd be stuck staring at the previous room.

The atmosphere in this game was perfect though. I liked the constant whirring from the background noise while I was inside. Gave me a feeling that I was in alone in this ship, save for an alien that wants to kill me. I also really dig the voice acting! Certainly made the game feel more like a commercial game. I saw you were posting some updates on the Discord too. If you end up working on this game past the jam, good luck! It was really fun to play regardless of some of the nuances I rambled about above. Good work on the jam!

I enjoyed the game despite the few bugs I ran into!  Reminded me of RE and other PS1 horror games.

I really really like this submission, the setting and atmosphere are amazing. Those controls remind me of the PS1 days maybe a little too much haha. But yeah it really creeped me out. Only issue is you can walk out of shot in a good few places and get a bit lost, other than that though awesome stuff!

Sadly, I think there are some issues in this game such as the janky controls; sometimes I just couldn't turn, I had to release the key and press again for the input to register correctly. The doors wouldn't open sometimes, even though they played their opening sound (it's usually fine but it's a game over if the monster is right behind you). I find it very difficult to localize my character in the dark and understand where he is facing because he emits no light (except from his flashlight, but it only lits surfaces far in front of him) Lastly, this may be just me, but I had to restart the monster chase sequence at least ten times because at the start of the scene, I could not figure out where my character was and where he was facing and/or the door would not let me out because of the aforementioned bug. In the end, I could not figure out how to survive this encounter even though I ran across the entire station. Is there a way to escape this thing?

However, I understand that the development of this game was probably rushed and problems like these are always to be expected. This didn't prevent me from having a good time playing. You absolutely killed it with the graphics, the atmosphere, the PS1 feeling, the horror of "Oh my god, what is that low-poly thing rushing at me?". It definitely deserves a play just for this. Outstanding work!

Cool game! Loved the ambience. I did get stuck at one point where the camera just didn't change as I went off the screen, so I couldn't complete the game.

Developer

Dang, sorry to hear that. The cameras caused me some issues during development, and I didn't have time to fix them as thoroughly as I would have liked. It's on my to-do list for a post jam version though.

Sounds good! I wanted to see the monstrosity that you had created in the game but I guess I will have to wait :P

Jojo let me upload a fix for the issues you were having, so feel free to re-download and give it another go!
