I loved everything about this, save for just one thing. I played the game on normal and it seemed niether caution nor haste could keep me from taking sometimes multiple hits from the same beasty. I'm not sure if it's their detection radius or whether I just need more practice (for the record I intend to beat this game eventually but have not yet done so), but the blighters keep nomming me.

My favorite submission so far. You kept things quite simple and delivered well in all the areas you needed to. While I've played scarier and more tense games, this is just so clean and on the money. Nice job all round!

Hey thank you, i'm sure you'll succeed! Also your submission is easily among my favorite too.

I wasn't very good at this even on easy mode, but it was definitely creepy + cool :D Probably doesn't help that I was trying to play on my potato laptop, haha, but I was just too slow to be able to survive for very long when I encountered those creatures that were beating the crap outta me x3 The gradual cracking in the glass as I took damage was pretty cool!

It looks great anyhow :3 Love the screens with mission details stuff. I always find underwater stuff scary cos it just seems like a more alien environment!

Thanks ! I'm glad you enjoyed our little game !  Don't feel bad if you didn't manage to beat our game. As it turns out, it's extremly hard.

Man, I love the setting, the gameplay and how it creeps you out! When I saw this game, it had to be on the first things on my list. But in my experience, I just can't navigate well enough and defend fast enough. The mouse moves too slow and the spotlight rays are working against me.

As for the monster or submarine design, if this was a real-life thing, I think no one would purposely make them look very similar from a distance. But I guess it's fine here since it's a short experience.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! We didn't think of adding a sensitivity slider because of the way the submarine is handled(an heavy object with weight and drag, rotating with motor), but it might not be a bad idea to add one. As for the monsters, it's them  that mimic the shape of the submarines. It's like a shapeshifting creature that take the global shape of their prey. I didn't think much of the "lore" to be honest ^^

PS: I replied first, you're 2 minutes late Nerspartan

Thank you kindly for your comment! Yes, it can be difficult to naviguate, especially if the mouse sensitivity is low on your game (which could be a programming mistake on our end, sorry about that), but part of it is intended as to increase the helplessness of the player for the sake of dread.

As for the monsters having the same appearance as the submarines from far away, it was a very intentional design. It would force the player to be careful, or have a bad surprise!

The game is very atmospheric, but I personally find it difficult to navigate in it, but I like this game

Thanks for the feedback ! It was in our plan to add more landmarks and directional signs to the map but we didn't have enough time unfortunately. The yellow pipes can still help you if you're lost though. They form a whole network around the map and connect every facilities together(except for the water pump(blue pipes) and O2(big red pipe)). anyway I'm glad you like it

I am very very bad at this game but I can appreciate the work that went into it! Enemies that track you from a good distance away, a 3D radar, super responsive interface. I got turned around a lot and wasn't very aware of what was going on around, behind, above and below me, but the feeling of dread was there! The 4-lights in the distance was a great touch -- is it a much needed supply crate, or a monster? Really good core design.

Thank you for the kind words! Indeed, it can get quite disorienting, but the game relies on it to keep the player on the edge. We're glad that you saw the hard work that went into building this game!

Controls were great the atmosphere was perfect!  A bit frustrating with how the torpedoes didn't really do much to deter the creatures.  Maybe having them swim away from you or die after getting hit would help?  They tended to immediately start following me and hitting me from behind when I would hit one and try to run away.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, torpedoes only serve to stun the monsters for a short duration, they are only meant to help you get away from them, using the booster. Balancing this weapon for the gameplay can be a bit tricky, so thank you for your thoughts.

This was a really fun and scary game! The controls are a bit too lose but other than that everything was amazing!

Developer

Thank you so much! We're very happy you enjoyed our little game!

Awesome job! I'm very bad at this game though, I can't even finish it on easy

Developer

Hey thanks for playing, we didn't have the opportunity to playtest very much. So the game may be a little hard indeed ^^
