I don't know where my first survivor went, but all the rest seemed to do well :D I'd say I'm 5 star captain.
No but, great work on this. It had just what you need for a sea-exploration/coastguard type of game. Atmosphere and never-ending deep dark sea, plus a monster. I'd only want the boat to be little more faster, but maybe I'm just impatient. Nonetheless good work ^^
Thanks for trying out! The first survivor is supposed to be your first interaction with the monster though we sadly didn't have enough time to represent that well, glad you enjoyed!
To throw a spanner in the works, I actually quite liked the trade off of the lights in the cabins making it more difficult to see outside - having the lights on made the immediate surroundings less unsettling, but made it more tense in general as I couldn't see what was happening in the distance. Overall really impressive given the time limitations!
Thanks for trying! I think we are going to try to achieve a proper balance of scare and being able to see without it becoming annoying in the future, hope you enjoyed it!
Oi oi, ahoy there It looks great and was easy enough to pick up. At first I was really quite invested, I picked up a survivor and got motoring, then for a long time not much happened. I sailed around and there was nothing to pick up, until I hit enough stuff to sink. It was quite a slow and empty experience. It looked pretty and the vibe was definitly ominous. I did have fun.
Thanks for playing! there should be multiple other ships after the first one to traverse to by following a glint on your screen, we sadly didnt have enough time to put a proper explanation for this in game but glad you enjoyed the aesthetic!
Nice gameplay mechanics. Ideas are well implemented! Keep up the good work :)
Thanks for trying out! Glad you enjoyed it, we'll keep improving it further
I was expecting nothing to be fair, but the game is good! keep up with the work guys! such a nice game :D
Thanks for playing! We're glad you liked it and we'll keep working hard!
Good game so far, I managed to almost make it to the 2nd boat, but for some reason the game started lagging really badly when i ran out of energy in that area.
Very good atmosphere! I enjoyed it. Add a few different hazard types, and it'll really stand out.
The boat speed did feel a tad slow, but hey... it's a boat. so I understand that one.
Honestly, add a fishing mini game, a few randomly generated islands, and some QoL, and you got yourself a full fledged adventure/survival game!
Thanks for your kind words! Optimization is something we couldn't get to before submission, unfortunately. We'll take your suggestions to heart, though, and we're already talking about possibly continuing this game in the future. Thanks for playing!
Really liked the lighting in your game! As others pointed out, the cabin light seems more of a disadvantage for now (maybe give an option to flick ot off?). Played it for a while and didn't reach all endings yet. I could well come back to this.
One last thing: the first guy diaappeared in each playthrough. Is this supposed to happen?
Anyways, good work! Keep it up :)
Thanks for playing our game. The lights are definitely something we're going to be adjusting, we're trying to find the balance between lights on being less spooky and also lights on being a gameplay buff.
Also, yes, the first survivor's death is scripted. We're figuring out how to make that clearer while still keeping the game cutscene free
Nice Atmosphere, good Icons and arts
Nice Job!
Hi, I'm the game's artist! Thank you for playing and enjoying the arts, they were made with a lot of effort in a short time
I really loved the atmosphere created with this one, great job!
Thanks, we really wanted to go for the kind of horror you experience through sensory details as opposed to the kind which is explained to you
Basically, as the writer, I'm satisfied we barely used any words
I enjoyed the game, the aesthetics and lighting were especially nice!
Thanks for playing! We worked hard on the game, so we really appreciate your positive feedback!
Cool game. Only thing that bugged me was the lights in the cabin, it was harder to see out the windows when they were on, besides that nicely done!
Thanks for playing, and also thank you for the suggestion. We all worked hard on it so we're glad you enjoyed!
I think I understand what you mean. You felt it was more advantageous to have the lights off than on, right?
We'll work towards making the lights seem more like a buff
hmm, interesting game! Liked it
Thanks for rating!
A really cool game! Liked the style and sound design. The only things that could be improved is that the steering wheel is accessible through walls and survivors can be placed on the same place and be intersected. But it's a super minor stuff, the game is great!
Thanks for playing, we're glad you liked the game! We'll work on those issues you mentioned.
Good luck! Waiting for your new cool games!
