so this game is gigantic but I really feel like that came from the crazy high quality that came with those environments and models. It was really immersive and and the VA work and sound design matched it all up to feel professional quality.

I did get stuck since when he looked up and saw a shadow person I was prett confused. I don't think I directly say him I just heard the protagonist say "What the fuck? this place is messed up" or something to that effect. still I went through and found all the toys just to hear more and really look at the environment detail. I'll ahve to give it another go later.

great work!

I always try to learn something in a game jam and I've been looking at game optimisation with this one. If I had made this the way I normally do I think my PC would have melted, so I'm happy it feels professional.

Since people keep getting stuck at the same point. When you follow the music box/ lights, walk into the lights next to the garages with the X on it, then go to where you get the flashlight and do the same. The last location is next to the car under the elevator.

That took a lot of brainpower! I neglected the settings menu before playing and my PC almost suffered the same fate as that poor truck, but she pulled through! I got stuck a lot.. I mean A LOT! BUT I had patience and eventually found everything and got the ending. I enjoyed piecing together the story, and by the end I started to realize that the story elements were more spaced out and that running around until a sound queue caught my ear was the easiest approach. Good job on the visuals, this is a great game for 7 days!

Yeah I think I read that unreal defaults to Epic quality when games are packaged. I don't know how true that is but I always put the options in there for that reason. I'm glad you enjoyed it, could you tell the "story" was a last minute addition?

My friend is stuck at the roof and he is tweaking out!

And now for real - game is great. Atmosphere is quite "dense" if I could say for the whole playthrought. Sound design and general line of events can give you some hints on what to do next, what to find etc, but you can also get stuck easily - some additional hint (little bit of highlight of important stuff or maybe using light to show point of interest ) of what to do would be great.

Ah, also - if you quit and join again (after getting to elevator the second time) you can get stuck. It will spawn you without flashlight or any point of interest of "second level" but with a story of second level (cutscene with graffiti "one way")

That's fantastic feedback. Now that you mention it I know exactly why quitting and loading in again is broken. I was toying with an objectives menu to highlight what to do but I opted against it. Given the Trouble people seem to be having I may have to rethink that one.

At the moment i don't know what to do. I left the elevator and have no idea what to do next.

Exploring should trigger dialogue that gives you hints on what to do

Protagonist, while on ground, only says "What the hell is going on", "I don't recognize this place" and that it's too dark to go somewhere, i walked the length and breadth and those are only voice lines (in my case).

A flashlight should have dropped onto the first car on the right past the yellow bollards. Picking this up will trigger progression. It will have probably rolled onto the floor.

There's no flashlight anywhere unfortunetely, with Avraren we went to conclusion that it may be some save problem or so.

Genuinely got scared quite good by this one! Seeing the figures on the rooftops creeped me out a ton and made me too scared to walk past them. I will say I was unable to finish it, and got stuck after finding the item ontop of the ambulance and following the blue lights. Spent quite a while looking around but just couldnt figure it out. Still very well made!

Developer

Thanks for playing. I design that part so that you can look for the blue light or listen for the sound. there 3 locations in total and its pretty obvious when your done with that section :D

Very well made game. I liked the visuals, story and sound design. There are lots of little details in this game. I really like the sound of the footsteps changing depending on what material you're moving on. Making the camera turn to the written messages on the wall is also well implemented. But I think that the AI voice is little bit out of place in this game. Unfortunately I didn't get any further as to the point where an arrow points upwards and there is a creature being on a house wall. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I just roamed around the area and coudn't find anything that continued the story in some way. Overall from what I have played I can say that this game is a pretty good entry. Well done

Developer

Thanks for playing. I think I may have spent too much time on the visuals and atmosphere, when I should have made it a little clearer on what to do. There are smaller arrows that lead to an X if you want a hint to progressing (or just climb things I guess haha)
