Do you allow SCREAM ZONE to promote your game via social media?

Yes

What game engine did you make this project in?

Godot

Any other notes?
Heavily unfinished, I'll eventually right my wrongs with this game as I had to cut down on a lot of my ideas, it being my first Godot game

I'm just telling that in case you want to keep working on it later, but actually, there's a bug when (ALERT SPOLER), after the antler died and you go to sleep, if you sleep again right after you wake up then all the pnj will be there in the city even at night.

PS: by the way, i forgot to tell but very good game. Good idea, good aesthetic and it's a good start for a great game.

Developer

that's odd, the game isn't even supposed to let you sleep after that, must've missed something

Cute aesthetic, i like ending)

Cool game! I really liked the aesthetic and the world felt really fleshed out. The dialogue was good and it made me feel invested and curious about what is really happening in Animal Park. Great job! :D

I really loved the indirect approach to horror you chose for this jam. The feeling of uncanniness throughout the dialogs and music felt surreal. I would surely love this project to expand as it as a lot of potential!

Loved the ending by the way hahaha

Congrats!

So cute, and I'm a sucker for how quickly it turns dark. I'd love to see this one continued post-jam. It's got tons of potential.

PS: RIP Penny's dad

Developer

Penny from where? I don't get the reference

also Happy Campers is great

Hey thanks! I was referencing that a certain unfortunate character in your game bears a resemblance to Penny of The Amazing World of Gumball :)

oh I completely forgot about her, I hadn't watched tawog in ages

What a charming little game that struck me a little uneasy. I enjoyed it a lot for the art and the conversations. Writing is definitely a strong point for the developer.

My first two attempts at the game, I didn't know the controls, and managed to go out of bounds in the first room and fall out the map. Probably want to check collisions there.

Otherwise, I'm a softie for cute animal games, so I feel a bit biased in my rating. But I did genuinely like the gameplay and I hope development continues with this game.

Remember all of the times people suggested there was a dark side to Animal Crossing? This game lovingly captures that vibe. I like its premise and stage of meeting all the odballs and misfits who can never seem to leave Animal Park . It's funny how quirky everyone is, and it's all very sweet and saccharine ... until we realise that there was a very good reason indeed that the animals are trapped inside and never seem to leave. Deviously fun ending. I think building the character development and providing more to do in Animal Park could really create a platform for an interesting post-jam game!

Great little experience. If given little more time time to wrap up the story it would of been even better. I did get stuck in the first room though for a minute. I couldn't see the door back towards the camera.

Wow very unique style, I liked it very much! Somehow my game closed after I went into the woods to that one place, not sure if that was intended? Got immersed in all of the characters and I really wanted to go coffee, but sadly I couldn't. :( Also agreed what Bun said.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

the game closing after the gunshot was my poor attempt at an "ending"

I implemented it 30 minutes before deadline so yeah lol

As for bun, while he's not a self insert i used him to express what i was feeling at that time.
