I like your game! I appreciated the charming graphics and SFX, and I think they helped present the story. I especially liked the models for the snacks and ingredients! I believe there might be an issue with the pathing and detection for the enemies, as I encountered some spinning enemies and some that didn't move at all. Have a great summer!
This is a fun game concept. I liked the room design, count down at the bottom, and food graphics. Since the cursor was visible, I used it in the beginning and could easily turn the world upside down. When I put the cursor in the middle at eye level in FPS style, the game became easier to maneuver.
Overall I think the game was pretty good and looked nice, though there were a few issues that effected the game. The visuals were nice and I appreciated that the game had music. I like how the game gets challenging by adding more NPCs patrolling, though sometimes I could run right past them while in front of them and they wouldn't detect me. I think the feedback when collecting snacks was good. This wasn't an issue that made the game unplayable, but I think it would've been better to lock the cursor to the middle of the screen and hide it as it was a little distracting at times.
I loved the concept of the game the only real downside to it is that the siblings/mom AI doesn't really work. They start running but don't actually run towards the player which makes the game feel a little too easy. The sounds and models fit the theme of the game perfectly and I really enjoyed the level design. As others seem to have mentioned you need to hide the cursor but also lock it to the screen by using cursor.lockstate as I ran into trouble with my cursor moving to my other monitor while I was playing.
Very fun little hide and seek/ collectible game. The mouse sensitivity was a bit high and it seemed like the AI didn't detect me a few times when it should've, but other than that no complaints!
I adore the concept of the game! I did run into an issue with the mom in both level 2 (collecting the chicken nuggets) and level 3 (ice cream treats). Mom seems to stand in the same spot for both levels and does not move around. Interacting with here also does not do anything to the player. I also found it a little difficult to read the instructions page due to the color of the text – adding a faint panel behind the text could help differentiate it from the adorable background. I do think that you have the start to a charming game though! The sound effects fit well with your theme and the height that you have the player at made me feel like I was a child. Awesome job!
Some constructive critique:
Help Menu - Instructions are a bit difficult to read with the color scheme.Using a background panel for the text to hide the background menu images would be helpful.
Game - I would make sure to hide the mouse using “Cursor.visible = false”. The food collected tracker seems to change from “0/7” to “whatever amount you have” without showing how many you still need. When the game is over the dad can still find you (you hear the sound of being caught).Mom doesn’t seem to work either?
