Sadly, I don't think the theme is being followed here. The only thing evil is not being able to see anything and getting 1 shot by everything that hurts the player. Thisis an alright first attempt. I feel like there should've been more attention to smooth camera movement and gameplay.
Did you mean to be relatively evil by making the jump so high the spikes aren't visible until you come back down? :)
I like the super simple art style and the music, but couldn't get very far (you have to go easy on us old farts!!).
After the jam is over I'd love to see you implement a lot of the feedback here.
p.s. this coming weekend I'll be rolling coal (for real) in my steam locomotive -- coal ain't all bad!

This is certainly a unique take on the theme. Great use of ambient sound. As some other comments have mentioned, there are quite a few bugs and some room for improvement. Overall, a spooky and sombre experience. Keep up the good work

It's very cool! I'll try to play a bit more later. However, I do have some criticisms: The camera could have been moved somehow to make movement back and forth less jarring, and the spikes' hitboxes were pretty frustrating. But the game is quite fun to play

Well The overall game is good the music and environment artwork is kinda impressing!

I'm not actually sure what to do. I get put back at the level start after just a few seconds. I'm floating when I jump. The character doesnt have a walk animation at all.

I tried to solve But it is Having some issues And i dont have time too so sorry brother + Blue Pillar is checkpoint plus as it is told in dialogue Boss That to save yourself from Spikes If you touch it you will take it to nearest checkpoint
The camera switching you around when you change direction is very jarring and hard to play with. That said I think is a great show for your first game and I hope you keep making them!
