Extremely cool concept! I love these games that have a way to influence another mode of play by manipulating the world.
I'm not exactly sure that the theme fits, other than part of it is a lo-res platformer, but it's still an awesome idea that I'd love to see expanded upon.
Not sure it fits the theme to a T, but it reminds me of something you'd have to do Mario Odyssey for some strange reason -- was this a mechanic they used in that? :D
I did get it to run just fine, and played all five levels, so well done! :)
iirc mario was mostly just swapping between 2d and 3d worlds and didnt have much interaction beyond pressing a button that changes something in the other world but i could be wrong
This is really ingenious. I love the concept and think this could go really far. Would love to see a mid-game shift where the roles are reversed and you need to reach a goal in the 3d world by manipulating the 2d one!
