I recently had an issue that sound similar that was on my ISP end. Had extreme slow speed accessing anything outside of country. Ended up being an issue with fiber splitting or provisioning. Had a tech move my fiber line so it used different band on main line and it solved issue.

It all ready is

We now are building Linux versions however our testing on Linux is limited so we will be relying on customer feedback.

Check the new patch, we did a lot of changes for performance

Please try the latest build we did a lot of performance tweaks. If it wont run try the DX12 launch option we have added.

I didn't realize it before, but yeah that's about it. However I have not got far enough in Alyx to see if it contains a space flight section like my game does. lol

link is on my website toadnet.ca

you where 2 steps away from getting the car keys. So close

Thank you Shack News for the jam, and thanks to everyone else for your votes.

Thanks dude. Yours came out really well as well. Vector style material came from MetricZero, so he's helped out at least 3 of this jam's participants.

Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it.

Just to give you an example.  After getting the input prompt to shift the camera up or down the player sees a hidden area under their current position that open up to water with a tree extending from the bank nearly parallel the water. This seems like a prompt to jump down on the tree to enter the lower platform.

Thanks for sticking with it and giving me the chance to modify and fix some things. Glad you enjoyed.

Thanks a ton.

From my testers I had no freezing or crash issues. Can you check your system resources while playing? I had no time for an optimization pass and it could be overwhelming your system. Also I have rated all the games and commented on most. :) Best of luck.

It is a change from perspective camera to orthographic view. Nice and easy trick to make 3d into 2d and took way less time then my original idea of having a pixle art tactical view. The mini map is the same thing just at a different scale and resolution.

Not sure if the donation disqualifies or not, but the rules stated any pay wall even pay what you want would. This is just for your information as I have no affiliation with the hosts of this jam. Always a good idea to read every word 2 -3 times on a jam page just in case of rules like that.

Unfortunatly there was not time to do the turret upgrade mechanic I had planned. Although I think the limitations lend themselves to the theme. ;)

Sorry I forgot to remove default plugins. I have stripped the vr plugins now if you re-download it should work.

Definitly if I was doing a full game. I wanted to emulate the old school clunky interface to compliment the retro graphics. Take it all back to the 80's

Very good work for first game. I would suggest finding a different set of tools to use though as flash is being depreciated and losing support quickly.

I thought I did a good job taking modern to retro, but this is next level. Also respect to another ue4 entry.

Thanks.

OK that was to much fun. Nailed it with the sound effects.

Very nice. Would suggest doing something to differentiate foreground and background objects. Some of the trees looked like they should be platformable objects.

Love the concept. Not feeling the theme, but very enjoyable game.

Love me some asteroids and this is a nice take on the classic with updated controls.

FYI having the donation option on download may disqualify you from the jam. Also for packaging you may want to use .zip instead of .rar as no aditional software is needed to open .zip and it can be scanned by antivirus. As for the game itself very nice for 23 hours of work. Feels like a classic arena shooter like quake or cube.

Combination of controls and camera make this hard to enjoy. Either removing sliding feel from controls, or doing a overhead, rear, or controlable camera would help alot.

Loved the enemies. Not sure what caused it but seemed like character model was aliasing or had a very noisy texture, almost distractingly so. The dark coloring of the taller rock platforms make them look like they should be background assets.

Great style. Should add escape and exit / close buttons / binds. Persistent world meant lots of respawn deaths as first room was full of enemies and most character seem to be unable to hit anything at different elevation.

Very intresting take on the theme. Simple yet compelling gameplay.

what would you suggest for controls?
