Graphics is good plus the animation of the doors. I thought I'm on Minotaur's Labyrinth because I can't get out and trapped! Just kidding!

Nice character and door animations and the implementation of gravity too.

Maybe add something to tell the player to restart the game if he's stuck or trapped and once the level has been cleared, maybe automatically restart the game for continuity?

Animations! Animated doors were a nice touch. Getting trapped with no way out is a possibility so having a way to restart would have been a nice addition. Love the Avatar reference also.

I think this was the only submission where the player character was animated, although it might be a bit hard to notice due to the low contrast. Enforcing a delay before the trap doors "swing" open was rather sensible as it allows the players to use them as a bridge to get to the trap door on the opposite side.

Considering, however, the possibility that a player can find themselves trapped in a dead end, I think a redo mechanism would be a useful addition to the game. Also, you might be missing a sprite to represent a trap door when both sides have been opened..

Hope to see you in future game jams ^_^

One of the few entries that implemented a sort of timer mechanism and also on of the few with animation (the opening hatch and the spinning character) - good job! Some suggestions:

* Make sure to allow for the entire loop to be repeatable/replayable (e.g. if you are in a "lose" condition by getting stuck, allow a button press to reset the level without having to reload the entire page/cart, same with the "win" condition, either have it automatically go back to the start or allow it with a button press). Side note: you could actually go back from the win screen haha, you might want to disable the controls (except probably for a reset button) after you have reached the end.

* With how you programmed the game - I assume you can easily create more levels relatively quickly. Next time, try to imagine how you can modularize the code (e.g. recording all the hatch locations) so you could reuse them. If you do it right, you can add more levels in a heartbeat with little effort!

Great job and congratulations, you passed the TIC-80 course!
