  • This was so trippy and atmospheric. I enjoyed playing this a few times. The biggest issue I had was that it was a bit complicated to understand and took a few plays to get the game. Things like the stats and making money were a bit unclear. But overall this was really cool to play and the other judges and I really like that Vinny model. Thanks for submitting!
  • Really cool, but hard. Couldn't get more than 150 funds before death. I wish there was a better explanation of the stats and what they do. Also, one run I got stuck in the Grey Leno/ gleebyDeeby room.

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
The world gets more and more corrupted until you are consumed into it. Attack is a manual blast.

Overall I really enjoyed this! Great original visuals, theme relevancy, and sense of humor. My only complaint is that the tile based movement system felt like a hinderance, especially since everything is happening in real-time. My hands became so tired from spamming the forward button to move, and having to weave around just to line up a shot against an enemy. I also was unable to get out of the secret area, so I had to let the game fail me to start over

Developer

Thanks for playing . I can see how the tile based movement can be annoying. I wanted to emulate old styled pc adventure games but maybe some things are meant to be left in the past.

There should also be a glitch effect to show where to teleport out of the secret area but I guess it could be too broad to show a specific area to teleport out.

Just updated the game where a teleport icon will appear on screen when you're in the right spot to teleport. Hopefully it'll help with locating it.

Can't do much about the movement as the game heavily relies on the tile based system.

Vibes are immaculate, and that death screen is beautiful

Really dig the visuals you played with, can feel the tension ramp up the longer you play! Nice work!

Thanks!

Better than The Elder Scrolls: Arena.

Should've let you buy more land in the metaverse.

Unfortunately the game actually corrupted when exporting to web. Theres really bad graphical bugs so I hope a windows only build is fine.

thanks, I was able to read the tutorial and get much further in and enjoy the aesthetic more :)
