- This was fun! Great concept too! I really liked the idea of having to prepare for something, having no idea what that is, and not know if the supplies I have are good enough.
How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
The game has a corruption meter with effects based on video game corruptions.

Loved it, and it felt well paced too!
Aw no checkpoint during the boss is pretty unforgiving for a gamejam, especially since we don't know what we're preparing for during the whole game! I had fun getting there though and had a few chuckles, good job!
There’s a lot at play here and I think the resource management shooter was done pretty well. The level was a nice vibe.
You stole my mechanic!!! /j
Also I know you hid permanent spine damage in the music. Unless I'm going crazy.
Good game.

A fitting punishment for the crimes committed - very cool use of the corruption progressing the longer you played and felt very smooth to control too, nice work!
Thank you! The corruption progression was actually something I've wanted to make ever since the 2022 A2B2 game jam Vinny hosted that also had "Corruption" as its theme but I didn't remotely have enough knowledge to make that work back then. I'm glad it worked out this time
Cool experience and well achieved corruptions! Having these resource-management elements reminded me a lot to my beloved System Shock 2.
Thanks! I'm glad you like the resource-management since that was probably the most complicated part to make work. My initial plans were even to make a whole RE4 attache case system before I realized that would be biting off waaaaay more than I could chew
Man, that was really neat! I really enjoyed that. I liked that there was a lot of gameplay and strategy in the game. However, I feel like the pistol was really underpowered. I emptied an entire mag into one of the basic enemies, and it didn’t die. Except for a few issues with picking up items from chests, it was pretty bug free (except the obvious corruption, lol). Great job!!
Glad you enjoyed it! The pistol's supposed to be the weakest because of how cheap the ammo is compared to the other two, but the basic enemies should probably have less health since you only have the pistol to fight them at the beginning anyway. I noticed the item pick up issue as well, I think its because the hitbox is too small so I'll try increasing it. Thanks for the feedback!
It was neat but the boss hp was too much, I wanted to see your ending but I ran out of resources after shooting the boss for a long time and selling off all my upgrades and some healing just for bullets that weren't enough to get it done :(
Thanks for letting me know, the boss HP is definitely overtuned for the first run at least, I'll nerf it in a patch soon.
Really cool game, my only concern is that if you don't have medkits the boss is impossible, unless I missed something
Thanks for playing! Yeah, it's pretty hard without medkits which is why I made the shop accessible during the fight.
It's a really good game! I enjoyed it so much. Dunno why there aren't more comments
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
