How did you follow the theme?
Okay, hear me out. This is a game where the Devil is trying to eat the characters and also, this game has you unintentionally summoning him.

This game is impressive, and my favorite in this jam. The art, music, and writing are all very well done, and the game mechanics are easy to understand while still being challenging. I also appreciate that endings based on your performance were included - it makes me feel like my actions mattered.
I find myself hard-pressed to offer any criticism here. Great job, you two!
Thanks KV!
Amazing and beautiful art, a great story, great characters and very interesting and refined gameplay. This is definitely my favorite entry of the jam (I enjoyed all the entries, but this is the one I enjoyed the most). You did an amazing job and it's hard to believe this was made for a jam, considering how polished and complete it feels! I enjoyed it a lot!
Awww thank you A.V.! I know it'll be a hurdle to try and top this personally for me but I know Gensun will be making more amazing games like these [maybe make a game even better than this in the future] and I personally will be learning how to make new bust art like Ava's Spiritual Guidance and apply it to non-Jam games. Ava's Spiritual Guidance is one of my favorite games to develop for HawkTober and honestly I appreciate the feedback on this game!
A lot of fun to play and gorgeous to look at. I got the bad ending because I was curious what would happen, and the ending didn't disappoint! Great job on this game.
I had a little trouble finding the right spot to make the salt circle, mostly because I was looking for the arrow markers like are used elsewhere. But luckily there was only so many places I had to click to find it.
Nice! Yeah, I think that's the fun of games with branching paths like that. Finding an ending that satisfies all types of horror game players is fun and I like hearing about it. I am glad Gensun made the choice to make multiple endings even though it probably was a lot more work on his end!
A lot of what happens in Ava's Spiritual Guidance primarily is at the Storefront. Though it does lead to a lot of annoying backtracking for inexperienced players, I am glad the game was fun nonetheless.
Apparently the Golden Ending had a lot more steps than I remembered but it does make me happy that a lot of people also got the Good End.
Okay, definitely one of my favorites so far. In a hilarious turn of events, I ended up getting the good ending. I don't know how. I don't know why. But it was glorious and you both did a fantastic job. The ending was all worth it!
I did have one bug and it could have been on my end. I went to go to the hallway after the second to last step and it teleported me from the store front to the storeroom. Certainly not game-breaking but it did confuse me until I realized where I was. That was the ONLY bad thing I ran into. :D
Thank you so much! But yeah, the fun thing about it is all you have to do is ONE thing and that leads to the turn of events. Like I said, I think the only time you get the bad ending is if you never had trust issues in your life.
XD Then I know EXACTLY how I got the good ending. I trusted nothing except Roulet.
Tbf, Roulet is a sweet kind and caring older brother AND Ava's boyfriend. If there is bad juju in the house, you know damn well Roulet will say something about it! 😂
> but it did confuse me until I realized where I was.
Confusion? That's a symptom of the devil being near. Wink.
this was so freaking cool! Very fun entry, you guys put so much work into this :P I got the bad ending, but it was still very entertaining! Looking forward to seeing other folks get the other endings
Thank you very much!
