Loved the aesthetic and animations, it definitely could have used some audio though to really bring it alive (although I wasn't sure if I had accidentally muted it). The gameplay was solid but the delay on the jump was tricky to deal with.
i absolutely love this art style! its so full of charm! reminds me of the doodle jump days
im not sure if im just low skill, but i found it very hard & the long respawns were very unforgiving.
overall: great jam entry! well done!
The time crunch didn't allow me to think much about my levels, so I think that's why they turned out so difficult. As dev you sometimes lose track of the difficulty of your game :(
I fully agree! I ended up having the opposite problem I think aha
Very creative game
idea is good and arts are interesting but in my opinion jump is alttle bit to slow and has some unexpected delay like you click jum button and player jump after one second, btw paper/handdrawings look so cool
That was good fun! There's something refreshing about the 'hand drawn on graph paper' look and it all seems hand made too.
I'd add a dismiss button to the tutorial pop ups as they slow things down a bit but that's a nitpick.
There's attention to detail with the humour in specific circumstances and there's real thought in what could have easily been lazy level design. Good work!
It was all hand-made, on two sheets of paper to be precise. During testing of my dialogue-system it occured to me that it could take a bit long, don't know why I didn't add a skip button ... Thank you for your feedback!
Cool concept and well polished, had fun !
Nice game! The paper aesthetic really handles itself nicely and contributes to making a nice looking art style. However, the input lag and the switching directions when you hit a side make precision platforming impossible and I found myself getting stuck in areas for quite some time.
