cool concept! A little hard to get used too though but after it was fun!
I like the idea of moving the character with the left mouse button, and throwing axes with the right! Fits well with the theme and feels smooth. At first I was attacked by all the enemies on the map and immediately got rekt. Thereafter I disappeared into the wall and will reside here for the coming winter.
I love this type of game, it's very fun
nice arcade game, agree with other comments to able to spam axes
i think making the camera larger would also help
cool idea! I would've really liked to be able to throw more than one axe at a time (or a cooldown, but who doesn't love a ton of axes?!) because I just wanted to spam the right click and kept destroying my own axes :( great job sticking to the theme!
The game looks great with the pack you used, really used it to full potential with the starting screen and ui! But man was this game hard. I would love to see some variation in the enemies that chase you and maybe different weapons to choose from. Anyways, nice job using that game engine to make this though, I know it couldn't have been easy. Keep working hard!
thank you for your feedback - yes it is hard, so next steps it is to make levels or level of difficulty, simply I didnt make it on time, thank you!
Enjoyed it! thou i would have appreciated it if it had a warning that you get surrounded first thing after starting XD i was not ready for that ahahaha.
This is one I had quite a lot of goes at because it's just good fun. Nice art style, simple but effective gameplay and definitely a feeling of being a brave knight fighting marauding monsters.
As a suggestion, I'd have half a second, maybe a second of temporary invincibility after taking damage. It's easy to lose 2 or 3 health in one go.
On the other hand it does present a good challenge, it's definitely not a pushover. Great entry!
thank you for feedback, yes I found a bug that sometimes you loose life but there was no time to repair this :)
I hear you! It's near impossible to do anything in three days without a bug somewhere. This one just makes it a bit more challenging and everything else seems really well implemented so be proud!
Nice little arcadey game :)) A little bit more of polish, and I think it would be great. I like the graphics.
Reminds me of classic Gauntlet arcade games, nice work
Good game, the visuals are very nice and moving & throwing axes is satisfying. Nice work!
The game is good! Maybe tweaking on enemy spawn, hitboxes, and overall game feel would enhance this game much better. Overall, nice work!
I love the idea and the art style. I feel like the experience would be more rewarding if there was a way to regenerate health. Also looks like the audio is a little messed up in the WebGL build, that happened to my game too. Last thing is that the waves of enemies were too overwhelmng especially right when you spawn in the game. Great idea and execution!
yes I think the same but didnt make it on time - thx
Very well made pretty polished game! Only thing that's lacking is BGM, even just a fun retro style music would have made this 10 times better. For these type of games a BGM is a must, without music it feels really empty.
Game was a lot of fun to play. It fits the theme really well, the controls felt good after a while.
I think the pace leads to a lot of button mashing. If you slowed the enemies down and made the map more spaced out, it'd give the player more opportunity to manoeuvre instead of staying still and spamming attack. There were times when I lost hearts, but didn't know how.
You should definitely add some music.
A very minor recommendation is that instead of throwing a hammer, it'd made more sense if the player was shooting projectiles like arrows at the enemies.
thank you, True, when I started programing the title was archer to make everything easiest (not turn sprites in enemies direction) I change the scope :)
I think I glitched something -- I only had two diamonds but I got stuck in a wall or something and then got the YOU WIN screen with a score of 430. My high score was 520 with four diamonds though. This was fun! I think the hitboxes for the enemies were a bit too big and the hitboxes for the diamonds and axes were a bit too small -- most of my deaths were within the first couple seconds of the game getting swarmed in the opening area, but overall I liked it!
