Solo Dev Game Jam #4 (Two-Button Controls) was my very first game jam. I made "The Universe in Balance" a 2.5D game about teetering cosmic balls on a satellite dish against the backdrop of the galaxy: https://itch.io/jam/solo-dev-game-jam-4/rate/2928027
I took that concept and expanded it into a prototype for "Foodgitives" a frantic action-arcade game about saving your ingredients from being cooked. Wind, water jets, and kitchen knives will attempt to push you off the board or cut you up. You must tilt and spin the board and survive the clock to prevent your food from becoming dinner.
For the Solodev Marathon Jam #4 I added:
* 2-Player Local Co-Op
* Keyboard support (Gamepad already supported)
* Special Power-Ups and Hazard Items
* Environmental Art

This game is really fun! I love the mechanics, but I think the knife could have a more defined shadow to better judge where it will land and escape in time. That would make the gameplay feel even more precise. Overall, I see a lot of potential for this game to grow and improve. Great job!
What a cool balancing game :D
Great job on the awesome game! Please check out my game if you like Metroidvanias or platformers :D
That's a really cool concept, really imaginative! It's fun to play too. Congrats!
Excellent game! Fun and polished across the board. Some feedback:
You can bug out the game by throwing the ball on the gloves to the right and screening the knife away with the cutting board.
The knife feels a bit too mobile for how strong it is. It feels quite oppressive.
Otherwise very cool game though!
Thank you for playing Darko! Good to know about the difficulty of the knife and I have uploaded a fix for the glove bug.
