Looks like it has potential, but we couldn’t figure out the radar even with the comments here. We found the chest but nothing else. The digging mechanic is cool.
The landfill is very disorientating and feels hopeless... which I guess aptly illustrates the endeavour at hand.
So I found the chest first, after accidentally discovering the sonar while trying to jump, and was like OK now what, then came here and read the comments. Then I found the level with the lights, which reminded me of the mobile game Glass. Then the one with the disappearing platforms, which is incredible what you achieved with basically just the Unity cube! Part of me wants to experience that in VR, and another part of me wants to kill the other part. Then I returned to the landfill and the game froze :(
Yeah, I dunno what is causing thats, I get the game freezing sometimes coming back from the invisible platform one. I think you are the only one who got past the last rotating platform so no one else has had it. But don't worry the closer is very underwhelming. xD
I totally didn’t realise about the sonar/radar (should have read the Itch page properly!) but found a pipe and the platform levels – eventually got stuck on one platform level (one that rotates with you on it, and you have to go over the edge and onto the other side; couldn’t do it) but otherwise enjoyed it. Wasn’t sure whether/how the platform levels merged into the story, was it like a dream sequence? Either way, I liked the terrain and environment deformation bit. Got a good “Lost and Found” vibe off it!
We found the chest just by digging out everything - but never found the keys!
We probably played it wrong or missed something obvious - but I think there needs to be a bit more guidance on what you should be doing at any given time.
The digging mechanic worked great and the world was well put together. I'll give it another go later and see if I can actually figure out what I'm supposed to do :p
There should be keys at the end of the two puzzle levels, these can be accessed from the pipe-like entrances you can also dig up. You should be able to find them with the ping tool also. I threw in the text last minute,it could do with a lot more explantation. hahaha
Found a puzzle level - really liked the frogger-like bit but then got stuck at a bit where a platform was turning away from me and all i could do was fall off!
I also took lots of tries to get over the last rotating block - but again it drove me to keep trying. Unfortunately when I got the key and returned to the dump the game crashed for me as well.
I liked the surprise of discovering a puzzle when I entered the pipe - I wasn't expecting the change and I enjoyed the puzzle level that I found.
So it pings based on which of the pingable things is closest. If that makes sense. The plan was that we would have written clues to where they were, but due to time contraints I ended up procedually placing the trash round the site, so just fudged the ping system in.

Thanks! Yeah I kind of lost the thread of the story tbh, and just went for some random theme based puzzles. xD

Puzzle levels?!?!? I need to give this another go!
Pretty funny how the two comments so far experienced the two different parts of the game xD

ah, I found the other puzzle level and not that one
I got stuck on this bit too; couldn't get over it!
Yeah I wondered whether that bit was too hard, but thought it was nice to have something that was chalenging :)
It took me about 15 attempts, but it always felt like "I was this close", so right on the verge of too challenging.
I also took lots of tries to get over the last rotating block - but again it drove me to keep trying. Unfortunately when I got the key and returned to the dump the game crashed for me as well.

Yeah, I am not sure why it is crashing there right at the last hurdle, sorry about that... :(
I should say, as I know the in game dialog is not clear.
Left Click to dig
Space bar to ping for near by buried items
F to toggle torch
E to interact
Took me a while to figure out the main mechanic for finding the first objective, then passed the puzzles and not sure what to do next.
There was a chest to find as the final item you could ping on the map.
But you got though the main meat of it hahaha
ah cool, does the ping find the chest? I found that the ping just lead me back to the pipe again.
