That was really cool. Very playful tone throughout with nice drama and emotional scenes mixed in.

I liked the stark black and white aesthetic. There was sometimes a bit of inconsistency between the characters and backgrounds, but it wasn’t too distracting. The character designs were all pretty fun.

I liked the music. Simple but effective and fitting.

I didn’t like how you had to click a specific area to progress the text. But that may just reveal how lazy I am :D Also it could have done with a save feature. Or if there was one, for it to be more obvious. I think it was long enough to warrant it.

I did appreciate that failing the chase sequences didn’t send you back to the title screen though.

All in all, fun little game. Well done!

PS: I ended up making friends with the jerk vampire, btw :D

Thank you so much!

As for the specific area and save function, I literally learnt to program with Zach for pulling the game off, so... yeah, it's a bit minimalistic cause I really had no idea how to do anything else lol but I'll take note,  since I didn't even think of just clicking anywhere to have the text progress!

Also yeah, Rads killed it with the character designs, and really glad you enjoyed the music!  As for becoming friends with the vampire jerk, well, that's the whole point of the game, althought you can still be a bit snappy at him in the options lol

So again, thank you for dropping by!!

I liked it a lot, the story starts out very typical, but as it progresses it becomes as interesting as a good book that you can't stop reading. In the first race, I think I chose everything wrong, I had to start the race from scratch several times XD, then it went better for me, it was very intense despite not having time running. What I did not understand is the hp, because I did not see any bar or anything that indicated the hp.

Pheobe is very crazy, but adorable, and I really liked Bayley, who I laughed the most with was Bee, and for a moment I thought he had a split personality until I realized she was his twin sister!

I really liked the ending, it makes me think that Harry Potter should have done something like that, put Draco and Harry to work together, maybe things would have been different...

Hey, thanks for such a detailed review!!

As for the HP, I setted a variable to tell you that you're very hurt but you can keep going, depending on it(but I'm not sure if it's working correctly). But had no idea how to do an HP bar so... yeah, left it unknown to the player (took that kind of system from Radical Dreamers).

As for Bee, hope you liked the zombie food puns xD Then Bayley was kind of the really cool yet even more friendly guy, while Phoebe is... well, you said it better than anyone lol

Yeah, thing is I tried hard to diverge from Harry Potter as much as I could, since the setup was pretty much it. The idea of you and the bad guy working together was from very early on the plot discussions, so really glad it pulled through well!

Five stars on everything, 100% would eat garlic all over again!
It was so cool and fun, I loved all the characters! I'll be sure to check out your future games! 🤩

Oh thank you very much, the feeling is mutual! Althought I did a lot in this one, it was a team effort, couldn't have done it alone! Hoping to see your next games as well!!!

Congratulations to everyone on the team, it was really cool! ^^

The white-on-black art looks really good--that's a great way to make your 2D characters mesh well with the 3D environments, and it's super classic and retro looking. The characters are really cute. Love when Phoebe kicks the wrong monster. The running-away puzzle is very well designed, and I appreciate that when you fail it just restarts the puzzle rather than making you replay the whole game. The story is engaging and very choice-rich. I'd like the text box to have an opaque background because the text was sometimes hard to read. One suggestion: This really seems like it should be set in high school and not college--everything that happens just feels more like high school student behavior.

Thanks! We were a tight and very heterogenous crew for this one, glad it came along well. Gonna take note on your advice, again, thank you very much!

I love the black and white artstyle. It looks like a love letter for text based games + modern vns. Great game!

Thank you very much! It kinda is, glad you liked it!
