Wow. Just wow. An incredible level of polish for a game jam game. I especially liked the camera for the scene transitions. Cutting to the gate opening and the tables floating. And the boss fight was simply awesome. Amazing work
really fun! a bit laggy for me since it was played on the browser, but i still really enjoyed it! the clicking to move was a breath of fresh air from all the other games :)
lots of fun from a simple mechanic! the floating tables were my kryptonite . The only thing I would add is an arrow indicating the direction of the jump. Nice job!
Well done! Love the jumping mechanic, a little weird but it felt surprisingly natural once I got used to it. A line showing the trajectory before you jump might help with the learning curve. The ground slam was super satisfying, and the camera shake really sells it. Some really impressive stuff for a 48 hour jam too, with the cutscenes and shifting tables. Also I know you made it for another jam, but the menu music is fantastic.
Thanks so much, I appreciate your feedback :)
Wow that was fun. I really liked the movement concept and slaming all of the enemies felt amazing. It felt pretty balanced overall. The varied staged looked pretty good too altough I would have liked the game to look a bit darker, since the music and the story makes it feel like a darker atmosphere would fit. Otherwise great game. Very spooky. Oh and I would appreciate it if you also played my game. Thanks and good job
Thanks for the feedback, making it darker is a very good idea. I will definitely play your game :) thanks!
Great Game! I loved the game play and the concept behind the character movement. The floating table part of the game was a bit buggy because the frog did not move along with the table so my frog often slid off. But other than that everything else was very well executed and I had a ton of fun with this game. Overall good job!
Thanks for the comment. Yeah the table part was very difficult to get working, that's the best I could make it in the time limit. Happy to hear you enjoyed everthing else :)
Loved the slam attack! Had so much fun with it :)
You should make a secret mini-game where you smash ghosts and try to beat your highscore!
Thanks dude, I was pretty happy with how the slam mechanic turned out. Was really fun watching you play it on stream, thanks again! :D
Great game! but I had a few bugs.
Thanks for the comment! Yeah there was a few issues that I couldn't fix in time, maybe I'll go back and improve it later :)
Hope you fix because the game is amazing!
The movement is a little bit too hard for me. But it is something new and I like experimental stuff.
Good Game :)
Thanks for the comment :D I will probably go back and improve the movement later.
Awesome Game! I really like the movement in this game. It feels really good
Thanks for the feedback :D
Woho, I killed the witch! I Enjoyed playing this and the movement mechanic was fun.
Nice work!
Awesome! I was worried I made the witch too hard haha. Thanks for your feedback :)
good game ,its amazing you did it in 48 hrs. Also personally i liked the movement ,ike it could be made more engaging but the current is preety fun.
Thanks for the feedback! :)
Movement is great but also pretty annoying. But the game looks nice.Nice concept. Also i would appreciate it if you could play and rate my game.By the way the jam was pretty fun :-)
Thanks for the feedback! I'll check out your game now
For only 4 levels, this game sure showed out and showed proud! I absolutely loved the soundtrack added, the background music, and the sound effects used. Wasn't too loud wasn't too soft it was just right. The backstory too was pretty interesting as well as with the levels designed in it! I love the unique concept of the controls and how to maneuver through the game! Although it was hard to get at first, I finally got used to it. The art and programming too is smooth and well oraganized! I can tell you made sure to test through all of this and take your time.
The only 2 problems I seen so far was:
If this had a sequel, I would love to play it! This was an enjoying game indeed!
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! I can't reproduce the bug with right mouse clicking. It seems to work fine with all mouse buttons for me. But I'll investigate more and see if I can get it to happen. I might do some more work on the game after the jam voting ends :) Thanks again!
No problem! I enjoyed this game alot.
A nice game with lots of potential! As mentioned in an earlier comment, to movement scheme is really cool and where most of the potential lies, sadly it is a bit buggy and hard to grip. But with some tuning it'll make for a really nice and innovative way to play :)
Graphics are nice and sound and music too, if a bit quiet.
Some details really got me going! The spellbooks and tables in the Magic Library was by far my favourite! (Though those tables were damned hard to climb due to collision box problems).
Had lots of fun, both playing the game and participating in the Game Jam! Thanks for both ^^
Thanks for the detailed feedback, I appreciate it! And thanks for joining the jam, happy to hear that you enjoyed it :)
The movement is cool but can be a bit annoying, but I love the graphics and idea! Thanks for hosting the jam as well!
Hey, thanks for the comment! Yeah I guess the movement is a bit strange, it was a bit of an experiment haha. Thank you for joining :D
Of course! I’ve done 3 jams and this was was by far the most fun! The movement isn’t necessarily bad, just slightly awkward at first. Also, what did you draw graphics in? They are very nice!
Thanks, happy to hear you enjoyed it! I did the graphics in Photoshop using a wacom tablet. For some items (like the barrel and the brick texture) , I got reference pics from Google and edited/painted over them. But mostly I did them myself :)
