Fun project! I really became interested in the narrative and lore of the characters and world. Here's a link to my playthrough... https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1633789469?t=00h25m49s
Loved the game! A fresh idea implemented smoothly, with nice artworks fitting the theme. I had some good time playing this :D
The only thing that made me perplexed is the "revealing" action of what's hiding in the dark: it's a clever twist on the theme (a card can both help you or become the enemy you need to defeat: fantastic!), but it felt a bit random to me. Is there a logic behind the association front/back that I'm missing?
Anyway, great submission!
right now it is actually pretty much random for player(there is only set cards per level what it can be, and it cant all one type etc, but avarage player wont notice those) but we know it wasnt the best avaible decision and we talked about it a lot. With timelimits we had we realized that there were no time for good fixes so this way was best but ofcourse its bit unfair at times.
clever idea, very cool gameplay and i like that the wizard just has a gun lol
Well made and creative game! Good job!
A very interesting take on the theme, enjoyed it quite a lot!
I was having issues starting the game. I can't seem to get past the menu as nothing I press seems to do anything :( The screenshots look really promising and the music is nice!
Hey, press the fullscreen button in the bottom right corner so the buttons start working :)
Very good game to be made in such a short time, I liked the art a lot and consistant style of the visuals, everything felt smooth and bug free. The game made me need to think of how to manage the cards and I changed how many of good/bad ones I worked with as I went on. Enjoyed it a lot and played till the end. Music was nice, not too intrusive for background music. Difficulty scaling seemed about right.
Only note I would have is that even after reading the instrustions at the bottom, I still dragged things around for a minute or 2 trying to undertand how to hurt the enemies using the Key up top corner but once I got that, the rest made sense. So I would suggest slightly different/more to the tutorial instructions.
