It's just so cute and it made me happy I love it ;-;
I am happy to hear it made you happy!
Things I liked:
- Visuals are very, very clean.
- The SFX are very well implemented.
- This game feels incredibly polished.
- Yelling is 10/10.
Things I didn't like:
- The gameplay is very, very straightforward. It's not boring, necessarily, just not particularly riveting, either.
- The CEO does a lot of yapping for a game with little narrative. I love a good monologue, but...I'm not really sure what the point is. Why is the protagonist doing all of this? Just finally snapped after too long at the office grind? Normally, I wouldn't think too much about the "narrative" for a short, comedic game like this, but if we've got a villain monologue and a long ending sequence, we might as well get something on the protagonist.
- As far as I can tell, I can't fast forward dialogue. I'm a fast reader, guys, c'mon.
- Bashing a birthday party? That's just rude!
Regardless, good job!
I appreciate the enumerated feedback! You have many very fair suggestions. And after playing all of the other games submitted to this jam, I absolutely want to try making a more challenging game next time. This one ended up being more casual. Maybe too casual? Nevertheless, thank you for checking out the game!
This game made me laugh out loud multiple times, I found the dialog absolutely hilarious. Everything was super well polished and ending was amazing. It had a super cozy vibe and I wish there were more levels to play!
If you guys could give our game a rating that would be greatly appreciated :)
It took me a while to get to, but I finished rating everyone else's games this morning! I am glad the humor worked on you—much of it was thanks to our writer. The game and the direction it took would not be the same without them!
I absolutely love the idea of this game! All of the tasks I wasn't supposed to do were very comedic, and the dialogue in the finale was great and entertaining. My only issue was that the gameplay itself had some bugs (I ran into an issue with the keyboard having a hard time going out the window, and I had to restart since it went out of bounds). Overall though, this was an excellent narrative and visual experience.
It is a known issue! I was unfortunately running into collision problems, particularly whenever an item hit and bounced back against multiple walls or objects at the same time. I definitely should have spent more time trying to debug it, but compromising by adding the reset level button was the bandaid fix. I am sorry you had to restart, but glad you were still able to enjoy the game!
