This game has a really cool and unique art style, art definitely seems to be your strength! It is unfortunate that there's no audio and there's a few gameplay issues, but I'm sure you can build upon what you have learned and make improvements later on. Congrats on your first jam! :)

I like the Idea and the art. I loved the animation of the main menu.

Well this game looked great! The art was fantastic and I loved how you could bump into the sharks and make them go up and down. I could see the relaxing vibe that was attempted but I have 2 main issues. #1 Why is there no music? I know that not all games had music in this jam(mine did not) but for a relaxing type game like this music is basically  a requirement. Im pretty sure there are some good copyright free relaxing music you could have looped because I feel like that would have made this experience so much better and much more relaxing. #2 The fish are popping in out of the void. Maybe you could have made them spawn a bit further back on the x axis? I don't know but I just felt really taken out of the river experience every time I saw a fish popping into existence  out of no where. Overall this was a pretty good first try at a jam, but there were still some pretty major issues. Keep making games though because I feel like you can end up making an extraordinary game with the style of art that you used for this experience!

1. i made music during the jam but just COULD NOT figure out how it worked in time for release.

if you really want to listen to it, i made it in beepbox and i can dm it to you in discord because itch.io doesn't allow me to post it :(

2. yeah, i noticed that at like the last minute but at that point i was already having troubles with exporting.

3. the art style is all thanks to my teammate, umbraaezyx. i just guided them in the creation of the art.

overall it was a good learning experience, and it turned out alright, just not a masterpiece. i think if i tried a  bit harder i could fix it up and make it a great game!

This is a relaxing game! Well done!

Developer

yup, it was originally more bullet-hell, but it ended up just being a stroll through a river :)

Kept trying to launch the web version, but it seems to be broken, so I tried the Windows download instead.

Once I started playing the game, I was confused at the lack of gameplay.

Is there all there is to do?

Koi swimming around, sharks and other little fish bump into you, providing no real challenge or danger.

Of course the art looks interesting, but gameplay, music, and thematic approach are all very important as well.

I would keep my head up high and keep making game, this was a good attempt.

yup, we had a lot of issues, and the gameplay just fell apart, as well as the music. i said it sucked!

The assets certainly looks interesting :)

I can't seem to make the Web player work.

I didn't grasp the objective of the game :c

I'm really liking the assets, I love how almost painted they are :3
