I like the gameplay loop, but it feels really slow, especially in the beginning.
Going into the game, I liked the appeal of the management type, where you had to balance your chickens, your food, and the health of your budget/farm/health. However, when playing the game, when I bought the chicken, nothing would ever appear on screen (yet the money would get spent), and clicking on the button to buy food did nothing. That combined with a ever decreasing barn health meter left me perplexed on what I didn't understand, which I think was just the button and items not spawning in. The music was nice, but the graphics clashed between different resizing option, seeing a x400 next to a size x100 was obvious, so to that end I would recommend a consistent artstyle.
I think the game has a good potential, and would like to see it polished further. Keep it up!
Thanks for the comment, I try will make the instructions clearer in a future update, as well as try to improve the graphics.
And for the chickens and the food, you can only carry one thing at a time (on can see what you have with tab) and you have to take it to the chicken coop (otherwise it would be enough to stay in the store).
Hope you could have fun in the futur :)
The game play loop was great and fun, but the visuals don t quit fit together that nicely and that s okay since it s a 2day jam, overall great work!
There are some promising gameplay features, nice job.
Concerning the visual aspect, there is a mix of sprites with different pixel sizes, it's quite odd but not crucial ;)
I am not fan of having to "install" the game... :/
Thank you for the comment, I will try to arrange the graphics to make it look better.
And for the fact of having to install, it's the first time I post on itch.io, I didn't know that we couldn't have a file compressed with winrar ^^ I didn't have time to find 7zip and install it before the deadline so I did what I could but that will change later :)
