What's your definition of an N64 style game?

I'm wondering about this, because I'm sure this means different things to different people, but mainly I'm asking because I'm wondering how much of the crappy stuff to add in, like the terrible draw distance, or the quantity of copy pasted characters, can I keep a smooth 3d camera, or should it be infuriating?

For me, im going low poly, textures 64×64 (mostly), fog for distance stuff, some shader magic to get a blur effect and CRT lines. Other than that I'm not worrying much. My camera is smooth, I'm sure my sound effects aren't going to sound like they're from the n64 either, and my character animations are pretty fluid. Some of that will break the n64 vibe, but I'm okay with that. I'm not much of an animator.

Yeah I think the benefit of me sucking at some stuff, will be that its more N64 esque. That's cool though, so we are basically making whatever as long as a screenshot looks like an n64 screenshot.
