Dont sell yourself short, enjoyed the game! Took me a few tries to outsmart the dogs with doing a circular movement. Which i could keep the dogs in a loop around me.

I liked the cat/dog interpretation of the theme. Like une_crepe said, it's easy to trick the ai into running in circles. Look into how the ghosts in the original Pac-Man were programmed with slightly different (but simple) behaviours to see how a few tweaks could give you a game that requires more strategy. The pixel art is also cute. Congrats on finishing your first game! Finishing something and submitting is an accomplishment you should be proud of.
Please dont say that it sucks, it gives a bad impression. Honestly I kinda liked it. One suggestion would be to add a pointer to the closest fish, like the cat is smelling it. I also was able to stay still at the beginning and still get points.
I thought it was charming! Sometimes the boost or the hit detection didn't seem to work quite like intended, but I was smiling the whole time I played it so for a first game well done!
Congrats on finishing your first game, even if the art is not triple AAA, i find this game more fun than a lot of professionally made game jam games. the theme is not linked that much but no worries because i really dont like this theme. I got 88 but you can survive much longer by running in circles xDD, the dog AI jumps and always miss you if you run in a circle
