I come back to this game at least once a week when I need to just relax for a few minutes

Strangely satisfying and funny as all heck.

Something about hanging chads because that's how old I am...

Saying there was a DuckTales vibe is very high praise to me, thank you!

The synth definitely evoked the feeling of the waves, and then the orchestra arrangement was exceptionally lovely and full. Great stuff!

Thank you!

Great vibes in this, there's a blend of innocence with a sort of quirky off-kilter quality, everything is of a piece and it all works perfectly.

Thank you! I did try to adjust the synths to get the smoother sounds and avoid some of the 8-bit crunchiness, so I'm glad that came through!

Love this, lots of great tidbits on a period of film history that needs archiving and protecting!

So much replay value, trying to see each rat's ending and epilogue stories!

Thank you so much!

Lots of atmosphere. I could tell there was a lot going on under the hood, and that even for this smaller version of the concept there is a good deal of depth to the mechanics. Well done!

Thank you! I haven't written a song in awhile so it was nice to use the music brain again

Thank you so much!

Great fully-developed game, superbly done!

Yeah, kept it simple while I learned the software and I'm looking forward to exploring further!

The long chords and discordant vibes in Surface Relaxation give me a cool Angelo Badalamenti vibe.

Great spooky vibes, and really smart use of melodic patterns, the tracks really build and evolve.

This is a perfect Nintendo soundtrack, I can tell you really thought about how each composition would be used in an actual game. Congratulations on this one.

Very epic, definitely hits those same notes as really great classic Square themes.

I love that you even did a Game Over jingle. Loads of pretty melodic lines here, and perfectly matched the emotions of your story!

As a lover of all things cozy game, this soundtrack was right up my alley.

Great choices in sounds, each little development of the song had something new, which fits your concept very well!

My favorite set of songs I've listened to so far this jam, very atmospheric. It'll make great writing music!

Lots of energy in these! Funky Me is a little discordant in the middle, but My Dreams and Crazy Me are easy listens!

Nice idea, a little bit slow and clunky to control right now, but it's a great start!

Bit too much for my old girl to handle, but it's gorgeous and I really like some of the control ideas, especially not having to hold down shift the whole time to run and the satisfying thud of the mech's footsteps.

Fun and already fully-formed, great work! There seems to be a minor issue occasionally when firing a weapon in the arena setting, at least on my machine, it pauses and then the camera control goes haywire, but like everyone else has said, the writing is great and the music is funky as well!

Smooth little vertical shooter with the right amount of challenge, well done!

Impressive work, feels like an unearthed early arena shooter.

Interesting, it totally sounds like an underwater Ace game, the styles are meshed perfectly!

Very epic sound, super impressive knowing the limitations of midi instruments to get such a cinematic sheen on this!

Well done! I started on MuseScore before deciding to go chiptune instead. It's a very cohesive cycle, each song matches the described usage perfectly!

Thank you so much!

Sure! I'm flattered ☺️

Thank you! I lost two entire days of development time due to a family medical emergency, so I'm looking forward to fleshing things out more later.

A decent start, I really like the idea and the graphics are charming. If there were more tasks to fill the time and more music, I could see this becoming a nice relaxing game.

A great little art piece. Poor John.

A lot of fun mechanics in this, I like the use of timed rounds and the format switch when the mechs get involved. Well done!

I love the idea of each player just taking a chunk of the cast and working together to make a story, I used a similar mechanic this jam. I have only a passing familiarity with Evangelion and your other influences but I could still recognize some of the tropes. With a little polish, this could definitely appeal to fans of those titles, congratulations on finishing this version!
