I am asking because 5 of the 6 submissions we already have are games that existed long before the jam started. So I am wondering if by working on an entirely new game I am doing it wrong, and I should just submit something old as well. Yes, the jam page says:

"Majority of the game should be made during the jam. The goal is to create a game during the game jam so please do not submit games you have already released. These will be disqualified and/or removed"

But so far that hasn't happened. 

I'm working on a brand new game for my entry but also the deadline is in August so It'll be a while before I submit anything for it. I think disqualified entries still are visible here they just can't be selected for the winner. Might also be cleaned up and removed later, hard to say.
