Without audio or visual feedback I wasn't really sure if I lost because my key pressing skills suck or if I wasn't directing my newt right. I like that you took the drag-on prompt in a different direction though. GG.
It's an alright game I'm not sure whats going on I was pressing letters but I never saw any different results from not pressing anything to pressing the letters whenever I can to me it gave exactly the same results as if I done nothing, I also felt no presence of a dragon or a dungeon all I can tell is I'm training a newt to read and see colors lols? :D
There are no dragons, only drag-ons
Well in that case it's purely up to the judges at this point, I think all I have the power to do is either rate +1 to a person anyways I will leave this to the judges to play and decide if this fits what they ask or is in the realm in any way shape or form to it! Personally I really saw no connections and due to me partially deaf and can't really hear sounds anyways I had my volume X'd off anyways <|x Is how my sound looks like! So maybe you had roaring dragons and footsteps in a dungeon I guess I wouldn't know if visually it was not but audibly it was! So it's up to the judges on this one! :)
Interesting idea to make a rhytm-based game for a text-only jam! The intro was a bit too long, and the gameplay could have used more variety (three colors that blink in three spots?) I didn't really get the purpose of newts, or what they were doing. The gameplay didn't seem to be effected by the directions I gave to my newt. Never managed to "keep my cool", how was I supposed to do that? Also, the words could be a lot bigger, and there could be some feedback on whether I got it right or didn't. Music and sound effects would have improved the experience, too.
Certainly an interesting game. Such a crazy concept to derive from this jam's theme. I could never "keep my cool", though. If you want to check my game out and provide feedback, I'd appreciate it :)
I have no idea what is going on. Words flash on the screen with colors and saying different colors. Should I be doing something at that point? I guess so...
There is an explanation about what to do if you ask about tips from the person who introduces you to the game.
Ok. Found that now. Without any visual/audio feedback about if you are pressing the right/wrong button at the right/wrong time, it feels just random. Sorry.
I feel like the intro and story was a bit long for the simplicity of this game.
Sure, this Jam begged for more text-based story, but i don't think this game-type fits so much text to read in between.
(I have only played until the first gaming part)
Thank you for your input on the game
