This might be a nice place to share our efforts! Personally, I'm going to bundle relevant posts into entries for the Jam, or might bundle them per 6 or 12, I don't know yet.
Day 1: Prismatic Knights. 5 weird magic knights you can meet on the road. Substantially higher effort than most of my posts will probably be.
Day 1:Where Did This Goodberry Come From?
A little rules pitch for using magical healing berries that have been corrupted by magical miasma.
I'm putting everything for this jam as patreon blog posts (for free, no need to join) just because I want to do something with it. so here goes nothing
Here's day one

Day 2! I wrote out a whole bunch of ideas, but the post of yesterday gave me the idea for this one, so that's a day of content 'saved':
I wrote a way to keep dramatic storytelling and characterization *while also* allowing for lethal, "one moment you're fine, the next you're decapitated" OSR play: The Quantum Goodbye Letter!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-2-the-quantum-goodbye-letter/
Here's some Gygaxian Naturalism for my (late) day one entry: Dungeon Growth is a tiny set of tables for simulating the passage of time organically on your dungeons!
Day 2: Cloak of Iron Shadows. A magic item for cool edgy ninja people that comes with a novel attunement process (and a half-baked idea for a bad guy faction who wields them).
Day 3! Yes, I saw Napoleon recently. Movie sucked. Gave ideas though.
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-3-pistols-rifles-for-cairn-block-dodg...
Day 3: Shatterspike. A magic weapon that my players just got their hands on so I needed to write it up. Based on Shatterspike from the Sunless Citadel except featuring my hatred of doing nothing on a miss.
Guess I forgot to hit post on day 2 so here it is. And here's a short one for Day 3 =)
The idea of the Adventure Calendar was to use it as a good reason to get rough ideas out there, and boy, today is a rough one: How I would run Halo: Combat Evolved as a fantasy RPG campaign. https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-4-halo-as-a-fantasy-ttrpg-campaign/
Day 4: Atomic Priesthood. A rough concept for an encounter you can drop into the bottom of a megadungeon, based on the idea that D&D is inherently post-apocalyptic and the "This place is not a place of honor" message.
Do you know in movies how two combatants lock eyes, and we're shown a mind battle as if they're fighting, only to realize it's just a test of wills, not an actual fight?
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-5-the-battle-in-the-minds-eye/
Got hurt, sick, etc... Posts piled up so:
Here's my day 2 entry, a Sci-Fi MultiTool Generator done on perchance;
Here's day 3, Spark Tables for Mushrooms and 12 Rare, Magical Specimens!
Aand here's day 4, a D20 Starscraper NPC Generator for my Weird-Sci-Fantasy Setting, Needle-Heart and the Wyldlands!
Please forgive the horrid formatting of the tables, as I struggle to get blogger to behave the way I want it to.
Day 5 and I'm staring to carve up the class features in the SRD. I'm rather surprized that I'm able to keep this up.
Day 5: Sorcerer Subclass Spells. I let it get late today so this is a simple hotfix I use for pre-Tasha's 5e sorcerers.
Day 6: Keep several foes at bay with your rapier skills! https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-6-flynning/
Day 6: Cold Iron. My implementation of the European "cold iron" mythology as an Unobtainium-style fantasy metal.
Day 7, highlighting another type of NPC that isn't often featured in villages and towns: The Gravekeeper!
Woo! Day 7! Still kicking the "how does spellcasting work" can down the road. That's a problem for future Jason.
Day 7: Stealing from Dread. I had a busy day. Make your party play Jenga.
Look at us go! Day 8: Challenging NPCs to a duel
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-8-challenging-for-a-duel/
Day 9: A simple honor system, and determining honor through a survey!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-9-a-simple-honor-system/
Transitioning to a new blog hosting platform means I had to transfer all my posts, and could tidy up some stuff in the process. Here are all the new links so far:
Day 1 - Dungeon Growth
Day 2 - Multitool Generator (now analog and improved)
Day 3 - Dungeon Mushrooms and mushroom spark tables
Day 4 - Starscrapers, pale transhumanist cyberfreaks for sci-fantasy games (now with extra, optional tables for Starscraper slave retinues)
NEW Day 5 - Six performance-enchancing drugs, drug spark tables and simple drug rules
NEW Day 6 - "The Library is Burning!", a diegetic minigame for taking all the loot from a crumbling location and escaping with your life
NEW Day 7 - Simple and unobtrusive rules for Pain, Stress, Fear and Panic in gritty fantasy games (works well with @Dice Goblin's Wounds & Injuries for Cairn)
NEW Day 8 - Camping and Camp Actions for games inspired by Cairn or Into the Odd, with rules for equipment decay and nasty infections.
Day 10: I refined an old shitpost into a complete... thing https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-10-rootin-tootin-shootin/
Day 10: half-casters with no magic in which I cut a lot of junk out of ranger and paladin. Tearing through all the classes is giving me a lot of inspiration for things I could improve in the future but I gotta keep barreling forward. no editing till I smash through the whole SRD!
Day 10: Languages. A rework of the 5e language system that's relatively setting-neutral (i.e. it works for vague medieval fantasy). Missed a few days but I should be back.
Day 11: Fuck it, cool swords https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-11-japanese-bladed-weapons-for-cairn-...
Day 12: Deliver exposition through stage plays!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-12-stage-plays/
Half-way and I am still doing my part! Gonna need a heavy edit, it is more challenging to write than I imagined :)
The Rock Face
Beauty Kills - The Siren class for B/X is my late entry for Day 10.
This was my first attempt at writing a class for B/X (I don't usually play straight retro D&D or retroclones). It might be very unbalanced, and halfway through writing it, I realized it would probably have worked better as a monster. But, despite all odds, it is here.
Day 12: MtG Color as Alignment. Rough draft for a take on Magic: the Gathering's color alignment system with mechanical effects on the players.
Day 13: Magic... almost. Not quite there but Warlock has shown me the path
Day 13: Fearsome Critters. Weirdo North American folklore monsters that provide bizarre challenges for people trying to hunt them.
(also thank you guys for all the nice responses to these posts, it feels good to get some attention on my random ideas even if the attention in question is like 20 page views lol)
I've been working on my calendar, and I'm a couple days behind, but here's Day 12: What's in the box?
Broke my streak, there's just too damn many spells to read. Here's a late day 14 with a selection of arcane spells
And here's a shorter list of nature spells to catch up to day 15. Going through this list it really feels like the high level spells are things that should be boss monster powers, or even entire adventures on their own. Letting characters do lower level magic constantly feels like the right choice though.
Did a bit of worldbuilding with a nature-inspired dwarven culture for yesterday:
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-15-arbor-dwarves/
Day 16: A mixture of monsters! A slimy fiend, spellscroll construct and... OH GOD THIS GAME HAS PINWHEEL SKELETONS NOW
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-16-a-mixture-of-monsters/
Day 17: a relaxing breakdown of equipment. So much simpler than magic =)
Day 17: I wrote a whole module. https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-17-morph-shift-alter/
Day 18: Worldbuilding with the Starlight Sages: https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-18-starlight-sages/
Day 19: Death is perhaps far too complex to be captured by just one god in a pantheon - so why not have many aspects of Death?
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-19-the-many-faces-of-death/
Day 19: Master Thieves. 3 enigmatic thief NPCs to get hired by the party - or rob them. Sort of in the vein of my Prismatic Knights post.
Yeah, I missed a bunch of days due to life events. It's fine, it's about the journey not the destination. This is still the most consistent I've been with a writing challenge in a long time lol
Day 20: oh gosh, we almost made it!
I fleshed out a system to generate fencing/swordfighting academies!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-20-schools-of-swordplay/
Day 20: the end of combat. Next, I'll have to figure out how to change the monster stat blocks.
Day 20: Coin of Destiny. Trying to make D&D 5e more interesting by introducing the most poorly-thought-out meta-currency you've ever seen. It works at my home table where we are screwing around. Try at home at your own risk.
Almost there everyone! Yesterday's late entry:
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-22-rules-for-climbing/
Life caught up with me. Between getting a job and moving, I finally had time to take a breather and sit in front of my computer. I don't have high hopes of catching up on 12-ish late entries, but I might as well try!
Here's my day 11 entry: The Beasthead - Sacrifice your body to take over an entire pack of animals, for as long as your shattered psyche can hold on to reality!
And here's day 12: Fortresshead - a weird-urban district of Law and Bureaucracy ripe for bounty-hunting work.
Almost there!
23: Not really a banger, just sharing some rough notes for a Jam I didn't end up participating in. Going out with a bang tomorrow!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-23-town-forest-dungeon/
And thus, the Adventure Calendar is complete. Happy holidays, one and all!
https://dicegoblin.blog/adventure-calendar-24-the-best-of-the-rest/
Day 23: Pyre Rock. Wizard prison filled with wacky characters. Kind of half-baked but I like the concept enough that this post will probably get a bunch of edits later. My last post for the jam. I think I got more than half?
Love to everyone who participated and congratulations on beating me out on consistency no matter who you are lol <3
Day 24: Mix-and-Match Dragonborn. A system for generating random variation among dragonborn characters. Not exactly going out with a bang but I wanted to make one more thing. Will try to figure out how itch.io works so I can actually submit something. <3
